I remember when I was playing stalker on my crappy laptop with a 64mb video card i'd sometimes let it sit on leftovers I wrapped in foil while I played.

When I was done playing I could eat my freshly laptop heated food just fine.

Genuinely gonna be really upset if I drop mine one day and it doesn't bounce. Tried to suggest my brother/friends buy one when they were nine bucks a pop going out of production, but no takers.

I have one that I don't use! It's pretty nice, just... no games have any support for it and I don't like setting it up myself for each game, so I use the DS4 instead. :v

Hold up, hold up, hold up, that ain't right. You'd need 2 RTX 3090s in SLI to get that high, and you wouldn't even get that in really intensive games (RDR2, SOTTR, for example). How the fuck you gonna fit two of the largest GPUs ever made into that case? Or are they gonna put a little disclaimer: "Note: only with DLSS on"? Or even better, say ""games" here defined as CS:GO"?

That, or it's overclocked to hell and back, putting the likes of Kingpin to shame.

Cooler Master, that's called a server. That's not one of a kind, servers have been doing that for decades now. Since when did you need to hot-swap GPUs as a regular consumer, anyway? "Oh, yeah, my GPU broke, lemme just swap it in for another one with the system turned on". I don't know what they're on, but I want what they're having.

It gets better and better the more you look at it.

So, and not to be that guy who sets up a nice debate on a topic with some precedent of getting being toadhammered.

But the more money I make, the less of a reason I find to go out and get free versions of stuff.

Audio books, food, phone apps, pirating things in general...  There's a real piece of me that wants to go to the brick and mortar store and buy the thousand dollar suit instead of ordering online.  I tend to tip all the time, and tip more generously.  idk.  Maybe others don't do that, but I'm very loose with how I let my money go.  I want to spend that little extra, especially when I know there's no tangible benefit for my own end.

I've always been a firm believer in private charity and generosity, maybe thats part of it?

I'm doing some research for a project, right, and I see this in one of the references in a paper:

Just the author's (last?) name. No title, no year... how the fuck am I gonna find the original source? Who are the authors citing, anyway? "Ibid" doesn't narrow anything down; there's at least a million Ibids out there, and I'm not gonna search far and wide trying to figure out where they're citing from. For all I know, Ibid's just a guy they pulled off the streets that they just interviewed.

Check the source referenced just before that reference.
