Just got around to plugging in the new (well, secondhand but new to me) laptop I acquired whilst visiting family recently, partially because my phone is playing up and refusing to turn on (I think it overheated because I was punching too many zombies).   

My last post was the first one I've done on an actual computer in... a while. Well, I probably made one or two when I first acquired this laptop, but it's definitely been quite a long time since I've posted from a computer, on my own desk, in my own space. Feels kinda weird and kinda right at the same time.
I can certainly type a bit more quickly, or at least with less time wasted to Swiftkey errors! Although it'll be a heck of a lot harder to use accented characters, so watch out for that. I'm reading a Roberto Bolano novel at the moment and I can't even type the "nyah" sound in his surname.

My phone's actually an earlier model, but that announcement also mentions that the service would be stopped for older phones after 60 days, and the announcement was made last year.

So, yeah, fun!

Got a call from the post office that a package for me arrived and that I got the notice for pickup five days ago, should come and get it unless I want them to send it back. Thing is, the package I did order from amazon was projected to arrive anywhere between the 30th of May and 20th of June. First wtf is, I've never had shit arrive early in this country, months late, yes, two weeks early, nope. Second wtf is that once again, I've gotten no goddamn notice of the package arriving, despite them claiming I did. I know because I've had no fucking mail in the past week, and this shit happened with previous stuff from amazon, where I'd learn of the package arriving only once they'd give me the warning call.
