When the room was quiet just now, before I turned on the computer and drowned it out, I was hearing a very faint, rhythmic sound, just outside of hearing, seemingly coming from nowhere in particular.
If I never post again, I was abducted by aliens. 

In the back of Egan_BW's brain is a sound unlike any other. Faintly, only at the edges, is a thumping, pulsing rhythm. _{^{Oontz oontz oontz oontz}}

More often, I can hear coyotes in the distance.

I don't get it either.  Its like the whole (non)humor of the show is entirely carried by laugh tracks.

The show has its moments, though they tend to be pretty far between. Generally, the laugh tracks don't accompany them.

It should be noted that CGP Grey went Full Diamond for that video, a position which is...decisive, to say the least. I still have yet to get a decently explained countermand to Guns, Germs, and Steel, but just about everyone in the field who doesn't adhere to it hates it without exception, which is not a great sign.

Yeah, Diamond is pretty full of shit. He ignores all facts that don't conform to his worldview.
