Use a dozen or so Diggers to widen the tunnels so that multiple Schoolbuses can pass through as once.
Modify the Lightbulbs to explode into infectious spores when killed.
Regrow the spawning pool, but give it a thick, fire-resistant armor shell.

Ready a battery of seed-pod launchers to bombard any surface advancement from the Primsks.

Create specialised Pod-launchers for surface bombardment of underground targets, make them larger, more armoured, faster-falling, that sort of thing.

Modify seed pods to grow into spawning trees. They may not grow quickly, but it will be great for staking a claim on old battle-fields.

Attempt to create a modified Schoolbus that can ferry Scuttlers via bombardment and release some living Scuttlers at the other end. This will probably require a modified scuttler that is highly resistant to acceleration... Schoolbus survival is accepted as an impractical objective. We could work on placing the vitals in a shock absorbing liquid or something, but just focus on having some Scuttlers survive for now...

Create a new strain of tanks with a pair of flame-spitting glands in their torsos. Have the outlets slanted with a guard above it to make direct attacks on the gland difficult. Name them Flame Tank(s).

Create a strain of fire-spitters that is all fire and no spit, it just builds up a huge supply of flammables... Name them Joy(s).

Create a Burning Scoolbus, loaded with Flame Tanks and able to spit Joy.

Modify the trees around the fire so that they can walk away from it. Then have them walk back again and start spawning.

Create a massive organic pump organ that stretches from the ocean to the hole and drown the little buggers out. Even if they hide behind doors, they should still starve soon enough. It should also be good for dousing current and future forest fires.
