Turn 4: Middle Mangaline
My stun gun isn't showing in my inventory.
"Ok, Boys, let's move out.", then I lead the team out to our vehicles. "Allright, it's obvious this crap won't be good enough for us. Hell, some of this stuff isn't even charged. Let's fix that." I'll dive us out to some hardware/weaponry store and see what we can get to upgrade what we have, or trade/sell it and buy better stuff.
1) you decide that this junk isn't actually worth it, so you lead everyone out of the station and out to your car. Outside is the beautiful city of Mangaline. you are at the 300th floor, meaning that you are at the third level of the city. Mangalin is a multi level city with new sections of streets every 100 floors. (meaning that what you are looking at appears to be a ground floor, but is actually very high up.)
You suddenly begin thinking about how different the future actually is compared to what people from... 2010 might have thought it would be. You take the way Mangaline looks for example. It’s a 5 level city that uses multiple pillars around the edges and even some sky scrapes that span multiple levels to hold the whole city up. trees line the streets. If it’s in walking distance, people will often travel on foot or bike or other human powered source of transport. Many people don’t even own cars and use the skylines instead. (Skylines are subways that run on predetermined route in the sky to different stations. The routes show up as holographic, see-through tubes in the sky to prevent accidental collisions with flying vehicles.)
Most of the flying traffic is actually only a couple of stories off of the streets while the space above that is often used by bounty hunters for races. The center of the city is a large park with grass and trees and paths and all that other stuff.
As the narrator decides to be lenient with your low roll and explain how some of the future works, your mates get tired of waiting for you and decide to take Diablous’s car instead.
Shoot the Narrator... If that fails, ask when we leave...
also I wanted a knife too...
6) The narrator bargains with you, saying that he’ll make the chief look the other way so you can have a plasma sword and a knife if you don’t shoot him. You agree happily, getting more than what you want. You follow Paranatural out of the building.
Inventory: Plasma Knife, Plasma bladeUsing my weapon mechanics skills, along with the reformer to use as a tool, I'll upgrade the stun gun to fire a concentrated emp blast, along with a high voltage of electricity, allowing it to kill both robots and humans. And follow paranatural, and hop into the passenger seat on Diablous's car.
SHOTGUN!
1+1=2) deciding to tinker around with your gun, you get out your reformer and begin working on it. you can’t decide however whether to make it fire EMP blasts or electricity so you keep switching your mind and in the end come up with a bunch of gun pieces.
You then follow Diablous to his car and hop in the passenger seat.
Inventory: -stun gun, +gun scrap
+2 Weapon knowledgeTo the weaponry store! You can ride in my car, kilakan.
6) You also follow Paranatural out to his car but get impatient with him. You tell everyone that Paranatural can meet you guys there and that taking your car would be better. Everyone agrees without hesitating and follows you to your car.
Your car is a green convertible with little imagination put into it. You unlock it and get in. Everyone else also gets in. You then turn it on and easily fly it into the sky. Feeling show-offy you rise above regular traffic and begin doing loops and corkscrews. 5) The Strikers don’t notice your fancy driving... well except for the nauseous one in the back seat.
+5 drivingI ride with Paranatural. On the way to stores I download and read a book, titled "Weapon Making For Novices, or Get Rid Of That Pesky -1 In Two Turns".
2) you follow Paranatural to his car, but decide to go with Diablous instead. On the way you think about how you might download a book with nothing to download it with.
Story Progress: 5) Diablous has been roaming the streets of Middle Mangaline his whole life. He knows them like the back of his hand. He knows exactly where he’s going. No, he’s not going to Josh’s Gun Shop, Chop-into-Little-Bits Land, or even Barnyard Bill’s Redneck Emporium. He’s going to a small shop that’s family owned on the 332nd floor called Blasters, Blades, and All You Can Blow-Up Grenades!!
He arrives at the parking lot that’s on the 330th floor for the local WallMart, then everyone takes the elevator up to the entrance of Blasters, Blades, and All You Can Blow-Up Grenades!!
Meanwhile, Paranatural is getting lonely.
