begin scribbling a bunch of runes of clingings  onto a lot of pieces of paper. Through the papers all over the field ahead of us.
Sticky mines anyone?

Turn 40: Heavy Melee

Quote from: Tarran
Kill both demons attacking HmH.
[1][2] vs [1][2] You ineptly flail at the demons attacking Nathan. They ineptly stumble out of the way.
+1 Sword

Quote from: HmH
Fix the enchantments on lightning rock-thingy, so it allows RNG out intact.
[5][Luck 2] Realizing attempting to fix it completely would be difficult, you try to prevent it from sucking him in further. You're certain you get the enchantments right, but it refuses to take effect; perhaps it's been warped by the lightning or its own excessive chain reaction.
+2 Enchant

Quote from: Flagrarus
Fire Seeking Seeds at the demons. Lots of Seeking Seeds.
[4][Luck 4] You hurl a large number of seeds at the demons, which fly true and burst open upon impact. Soon the entire front line is entangled by your writhing plants.
+5 Plant
5 demons entangled.

Quote from: Ochita
Draw all the water I can and use it to make a cascading wave of icy death.
[4-1][Luck 6] Despite the storm's strength, you can't muster up quite as much water as you'd like. What you do manage, however, strikes with hurricane force, freezing the front mass of demons solid.
+6 Water
8 demons frozen solid, five of which were entangled
Storm dies down somewhat.
New Spell: Icy Death

Quote from: Frelock
Cure Moderate Wounds on Nathan
[5+1][Luck 4] You overchannel your healing, restoring Nathan fully.
+4 Healing
Nathan now Healthy.

Quote from: wolfchild
Summon a squad of angelic grunts to hold the line against the demons
[6-1][Luck 1] A squad of five angelic soldiers descends, seeming bulkier and squatter but otherwise similar to the guardian. With a trumpet call, they swiftly engage these foolish mortals that dare consort with demons.
+6 Summoning
Hostile angelic grunts summoned.
New Spell: Summon Angelic Grunts

Quote from: Dwarmin
I cast poison bolts at the healthiest looking Demons!
[1][Luck 4] You fling magical poison two feet in front of you. It dissipates harmlessly.

Quote from: RandomNumberGenerator
Have a mental breakdown and sob hysterically.
[2][Luck 2] Your sobbing has a decidedly whiny feel to it, despite being fairly reasonable. (Resist 6) On the bright side, you manage to resist being tugged in any further, tugging futilely at the iron grip on your arms.

Quote from: iceball3
begin scribbling a bunch of runes of clingings  onto a lot of pieces of paper. Through the papers all over the field ahead of us.
[5+1][Luck 6] You scribble page after page of sticky runes, hurling them in front of you. They all stick together as they fly, resulting in... uh... a chain of sticky paper?
+4 Runecrafting
Now wielding whip of sticky papers.

With Nathan's flight, the demons near Tarran surround him.
Tarran: [2][6][5][6] vs [5][4][5][1] The first's flailings just carry it through Tarran's sword easier. The second leaves a slash across his arm, the third exchanges expert parries with him, and the fourth brings a two-handed slam into him from behind.
Tarran takes serious damage, now Heavily Wounded.
One demon slain.

The demons who aren't frozen solid continue their advance, the wave of ice having conveniently frozen over the brambles.
One fills the gap left by Tarran's slain attacker. [1] vs [5] Its battle strategy seems similar, however. One demon slain.
The remaining demons split up and assault Flagro and Ochita.
Flagro: [6][6] vs [2][1] Flagro screams as the demons mangle him, clawing and and biting his unprotected flesh.
Flagro takes critical damage, now CRITICALLY WOUNDED!
Mangled Arm
Ochita: [3][6][1] vs [6][6][6] Ochita dives out of the way, rolling for quite a ways before coming up. Two of his attackers collapse into frosted chunks for some reason.
Two demons slain. What.

The angelic grunts fan out to dispatch these foul demon-worshippers.
Seymore: [1] vs [4] You slash the treacherous summon as it swipes at you with its short, broad blade.
Fre: [3] vs [2] One of the angels gives you a minor cut.
Icebrawl: [5] vs [6+1] You slam the angel upside its helmetlike head with your trusty bucket.
Dwareet'ik: [4] vs [4] Your snapping and nimble dodging keep the angel's blade at bay.
Nathan: [5] vs [6] You handily avoid the angel's assault.

Uh, wow, this turn went badly.

Err... If I'm heavily wounded, why am I still healthy?

Well guys, I think I'm kinda screwed. Well, I'll take down as many of them as I can.

KILL AS MANY DEMONS AROUND ME AS I CAN!

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

wolfchild, try to regain control over those bigots. We're not gonna fight huge flying armored angels with swords, full stop.

If angels are under control: revert the enchantment on the void-thingy.
If not: Overkill time! Disrupt the magic flows around the place to create a ripple that either banishes or disables all summoned or magic-driven creatures.

Fall back and use Energize on all my allies (and use my wild magic staff this time, or do I have to re-rune it for that?)

Protect me, guys!

Maybe we should stop the whole "summoning in the heat of battle" thing....

IF the angels have been calmed , or banished I cast Bolster on flagarus.
Otherwise, I attempt to use my spirit magic to show the angels I'm not evil. Calm Celestial?
EDIT: I refuse to be used as a swing mace. If Iceball attacks me, I cast poison soul on him!

Use my mastery over earth magic to have the stone gently release RNG.
