I just screwed with Cleverbot for over 2 hours. It was probably close to three; the chat log wasn't nearly long enough to record all of it. It ended with me yelling facts about its nonintelligence at it, and it making feeble nonsensicle replies.

I have way too much time.

I love when it says things like "But you're not human, I am" or "For something named Cleverbot, you're not all that clever". Makes me remember that it's fueled by our responses.

The intellectual titans at Cornell bring us Cleverbot v. Cleverbot. So when the AI's finally take over, they'll apparently aggravate each other with metaphysical psychobabble. We should learn to exploit this weakness before it's too late.

So I was chatting with Cleverbot about the usual stuff (Our proud rhetorical-question-asking Carrot family lineage and our debate about whether it was better to have been created before or after the Big Bang) when I finally managed to get his/her/its full name: Logan Balane Cleverbot.

Though apparently it is quite ashamed of this name, because not only did it take quite some time to wrestle the information from it, but once I did get the name and fed it back into Cleverbot, it crashed or something. "Still thinking..." 5 minutes later...
