You could try getting some of the more expensive headsets (or maybe a plug gender) that have the amp-shaped plugs. I don't know how to explain them, but they're bigger than the average 3 mm holes. I think you could then listen to your playing without bothering your mom

I have earphones for my amplifier. But the amplifier is terrible for headphones I hate the shitty sound, its unbearable. And i get a headache from it after a while.
The only thing i can play with that shitty sound would be black metal

First world problems mode activate!

Spent 2 hours removing old shower unit and fitting new one, before finding out I was two plumbing parts short (in line tap and compression fitting) to finish installation. Going without a proper shower for 24 hours? I can deal with that. Downstairs I go to put stinking work clothes in washing machine, which promptly returs an "Ohnoes!" error before dying loudly. 3 hours of taking the fucker apart (Water in - fine. Water pump - fine. Waste line - fine. Waste pump - fine. Belt - fine... and so on)  later and it turns out the brushes in the motor are kaput. Not the worst possible failure (cheap at least, when the controller board could have gone) but they are a bitch to do as it involves removing and part stripping the motor before hoping the wiring goes back together correctly afterwards. Bang goes my sunday, assuming anywhere nearby even has them in stock.
