The most annoying thing about this game is when civilians steal your food and that my mini map is bugged and doesn't work.
When they steal any item, really. Having to smash apart an entire store to get 3 planks because they steal every single one is a bit ridiculous. I would prefer if you could target and kill survivors. Also, maybe an ability to put some kind of Keep Out sign on the main door to your lair would be nice, as squatters coming in while you're away and trying to claim the place is annoying.
My last run had me run out of stamina being chased by a big bad demon trying to get back to my lair. I subsequently got killed by an ordinary skeleton, despite being level 7.

What would be cool is an I am Legend mode.  No survivors, no zombies during the daytime.  As morning nears all the zombies pack into secluded houses, sewers, under cars, wherever, and at night they all come and start looking for you.  Maybe they can even smell you, and can reach your lair that way.

What I want is improvised walls and explosives.

That way you can brick up doors and cut off streets.
It would be really resource intensive, though. The only way to prevent the exploitation of this I'd guess is already present: You need food and therefore have to continually go out to scavenge.

EDIT:
New game. I wake up, and inside my room are 2 skeletons. I jump and run out of my bed, smash, hurt skelly1, smash, killed Skelly1, hurt (-2HP) by Skelly2, Killed Skelly2.

Good thing I took Agile as my starting stat.

Well, I am doing fairly well on my current game. I have 8 units of food and am searching for more. I have one follower who has been with me for my entire 13 days. We also have a limited supply of guns (5 hunting crossbow things, a shotgun, and 3 hunting rifles), 4 bats, 3 medikits, 5 bandages, and a 6 room house that we are staying in (3 rooms have 2 beds each as well). A biker broke into one of the rooms so I have it barricaded off from the main house since the door is gone, but... doing fairly well.

EDIT: Oh crap, just got cornered by a disciple and a zombie and we have no guns... this is nooot good.

I had a good run on my new guy. I found a gunstore with a ton of guns in it, rifles, pistols, shotguns, all for myself, in a pretty well barricaded store.

I left to go loot some areas, come back, it's all been destroyed and there's another one of those demon things in there. I kill it, and quickly move all my food/many guns to the quickest house I can, it was barricaded that up pretty well, the problem with that place was it was really open to attack from any side. Had a few good shootouts in there.


Got killed coming back from a looting spree, pretty anti-climatic, although it was one of the demons things.

Most of my games involve either quickly dying due to a bad spawn or sleeping for days and days in a pack of national guardsman waiting for either my food to run out or for all of them to die.

Well, this is a new thing indeed. My rougelike muscle memory is currently set to "IVAN", and dispite my keybindings the mouse use still trips me up. But I do quite enjoy what I see.

I hope they add more random mundane items and then let us MacGuyver them into cool tools and traps.

That would be rad.

I want stackable ammo and a chance for noises to also wake sleeping people up.  I want to say I want the disciples nerfed so you don't instantly lose if one finds you before you hit endgame super-hero status... but that would be lame of me.

Yeah, everything is pretty easy (kill or run away from) until unlucky disciple spawn at lower levels.

Game is so much easier with less stupid civilians running around. But having max civilians and undead running around is a brutally hilarious game.

I just wish the game had IVAN/DF 40d damage. Ugh, hitpoints! Visible hitpoints!

Groups of people should really have someone on watch always when the others are sleeping, then make the guard wake up the rest if attacked. Would make followers a lot more useful as well.

Press "O" and change theirs directvies to "don't sleep" while you're asleep. More complex orders are planed for the future.
