IIRC, Beds don't do anything, do they? I always sleep on the ground...

A bed is considered a couch. Sleeping on top of a couch item allows you to regenerate health while you sleep.

I havent exactly checked most, or even some of the "bug fix" stuff, but im having a problem downloading. This problem may even have been discussed in the thread already, but im not reading 140 posts again. =/

Whenever I try to download alpha 3 from megaupload, it works for like 3 minutes, then the connection gets reset. Cant download it because it wont finish. I even got an account with megaupload, seeing if it was because I didnt have one. Same result.

I have a dial-up connection(might be why), Vista, and thats probably all thats needed to be known.

"Edit" Tried it with and without account on IE, and without account on Firefox.

Strange, I did some updates and it started working, rather unrelated ones too (not listed in the help file). Heh, anyway, I'm gonna play this and report how it goes, I was waiting for a game like this.

Bug:
The CHAR warning is useless because you press enter to make the announcement go away and he kills you right away as it counts as a turn.

I did pretty well by actively seeking out zombies at a high level.
It kept disciples and neophytes at a low amount, and kept lots of doors and windows intact.
I started off with High Stam, and got a baseball bat and food. I then roamed the streets kiting semi-powerful zombies.

Also, not a bug. The Char Warning gives you one turn to book it (Unless you're sleepy. Being sleepy drops your speed to 0.66). Hit run and then RUN.

Once you have the basics of barricading down, this becomes easy-ish. That, or making survivors not die from hunger makes them not eat at all. 30 days in, and I can still find groceries on the street during my food runs.

First run, doing fine now, woke up next to a zombie and other people, grabbed a cellphone and ran. Been beating skellies down with an empty pistol I found on the streets, barricating and sleeping. This is fun, but I have yet to find proper ammo and weapons, but I at least have two bags of groceries and a cellphone with me.

Anyway, how do I use cellphones

To use cellphones

Hand them to your followers. It shows their locations on a map.
Useful for finding out where they are, but useless all else.

I wish they had a feature that told you where certain events or where other people were.

My next guy started with a 2 zombie masters next to him, needless to say it didn't end well.

The game has huge potential, but as it stands, I'm annoyed by the inventory system (no ammunitions and so forth), brainless followers and lack of any true goals. I guess it will get better though, hope the designer will stay motivated! As it is, the game just makes me want to play Fort Zombie, heh.

The most annoying thing about this game is when civilians steal your food and that my mini map is bugged and doesn't work.

Ah crap, I was just doing a great run, collected 3 hunting rifles from a store and was searching for food and a place to sleep. Ran into a zombie master and his gang, and shot them up. Later I found me a hardened leather jacket (probably from a biker who met his demise in that zombie master's hands), and everything seemed fine and dandy. When I finnally found a place with a bed and food... Zombies started crawling in from EVERYWHERE, I was out of guns, and my huge hammer broke while fighting the FIRST one, I ran like hell and tried to meet with the national guard, but died in the streets to a swarm of zombies.

My new run is looking nice though, found some stores, got some guns, and barricaded myself inside a general store, I'll be waiting here till I need food.
