ok, then, and an axe? will you allow us to chop trees with the hatchet?
That's an axe designed to chop trees. Of course.

Wait, if he gets a desk, I get my backpack.
It was right by my desk, as well as my guitar.
So I have those as well. I only have batteries, a Class 1 FaK, and a (Douk Douk) knife in my pack. The guitar is in a soft case with lots of (guitar) picks, some sheet music, a strap, and some extra strings. I am also wearing a belt.
So I put all my stuff in the backpack, and shoulder the guitar case and the pick.

Can we use the prospector's pick like a pick axe? Dig through rock?

I don't know how much paper is left. I started with 50.

I say we should get a move on, maybe try to buy some food, and go to the planes.

"Ow.
Ow.
Dislocated shoulder! Pain!
But I'd do it again. If I'm getting sucked into another dimension, I am TOTALLY trying to hang onto the desk. Biggest thing in the room, very clearly it was worth.... HEY! Mah Computer! Do we have a thief here, or did it get "lost in transit"?" *pockets pocket harddrive* *equips hammer*

Man. Dislocated shoulder? If I don't get treated I'm gonna be next to useless. No findking thieves for me. I guess I sit/lie down on my desk and try to adorn the fancy compass with metal rings and paperclips whilst passing out.

Do you really need a pack animal? You can carry anything and everything. Sort of. If you try to take the desk you'll get to your embark site in... Oh... a hundred years.

*sigh* I dislocated my shoulder for that thing. Also, pack animals can be eaten. (milked?)
But if no one with skill at it tries haggling for a deal with my stuff I guess I'm screwed. If it comes to it, I guess then I should find out how much the traders think an x*oak desk*x is worth. :'(  Do thumbtacks in a desk count as "adorned with studs of metal"? ;)

So... like, all that crud that was in my desk would be Encumbering me instead? Uh oh. Time to get rid of some "gently used" video games. What would the damage (encumberance) be without them and the desk, and the stereo?

Are we a human civ? or do we have a special status.

...hey! what do we look like? Am I Ascii?
((You are not a human civ yet.))
You look how you always look, Unshaven and balding.  :P

Oh! Of course. How silly of me. Unshaven. Balding. No socks, shoes, shirt, underwear... just a pair of jeans and a jacket. Sexxaaaay!

I take Flaede's arm and look at it.
I then (painfully) relocate it. It's good to have a doctor, no?

Not really sure what to do...
Can I set my default action to flailing about like a moron if I'm not doing anything else?
It's what I would do in real life too.

ACTIONS:

I look around me using the binoculars I managed to take with me.
You spot a small cobaltite vein! Not very useful... Maybe you should get above ground, or to the cave systems.

I take Flaede's arm and look at it.
I then (painfully) relocate it. It's good to have a doctor, no?
You stare at the arm quite forcefully. then you pop it back into place. Flade is in pain.

You flail like an idiot, and knock out your pet kobold. He fades back into view.

Do note that the next person to flail like an idiot may just accidentaly cause a catastrophic cave-in.

Just something to mull over.

Ok if I'm able to assert my leadership votes, I'm doing it here (as apparently my name is now Lord Asher)

I think we need to set up camp near the river, but close enough to those woods to chop down some trees to make a palisade wall. We can work something better lately. But our first priority should be to set up our base of operations and get a little town running.

Then we can send out exploration parties (since we've got a lot of people now, and maybe we can recruit some NPC humans as well) and play along with the GMs adventures around this area while we explore :)

Oh and Lokii, your job is now to seduce the human traders and either get them to give us really cheap goods or outright join us.. (Hey it was your idea and you're the lone chick here :)  )
