Also we need a gender Cript. But you should be able to join unless the rules changed.

If I join that I will put all that miscellaneous stuff in my backpack and say
"I think we should leave before it becomes too... hot."

I ask the traders if there are tales of traders experiencing accidents here. If they mention something like their last caravan not coming back, we run for our lives.

ACTIONS:
I'm kinda worried about the warm wall. I ask if there have been tales of traders experiencing accidents here.
The traders shake their heads. "Nah, that's a elven problem. We do get abandoned alot though."

Also, we offer the humans pencils and some of my notecards for trade. Tell 'em it can help keep track of things.
The traders scree in joy. A new way of keeping track of things! More accurate recordings! Hooray!

The din almost deafens you.

Remember, that one killstealing (literally) hunter dorf said someting to the effect of: There is no self, only[fortressname]. Communist.
Let us introduce DEMOCRACY and the AMERICAN WAY to our friends here.
Also, remember that we need to become members of this fort. I only have some sour candies to eat, and no water.
((You could go with the humans...))

We have a gun.
Also, can we find out the population of this fortress, DM?
And what version were we all running? I am guessing 31.03.
You remember that you were running version 42.42. The fortress is medium sized, approximately 110 dwarves, if the size of the entrance is any indication.

ask the humans what is the dwarves opinion on our kind, ask them if they have cheap copper axes or picks

you skipped me :\
"Aye, the dwarves an us 'Umans from Oslee have a pre'ty much blank slate. Not much tradin', not much war."

>Exit the trade depot and look for another entrance to the fort.

We don't want things to get to hot, do we?
You are in the entrance hall again. A dwarf walks by you and shoots you a furious look. A purple cloth on his arm marks him a noble. He heads to the depot.

They are excited bout paper and pencils? I trade my pen and paper(it's a pretty nice metal pen too) for a sword of the highest quality they are willing to trade. If I have to I'll throw in my fake sword as a toy.

I didn't give them my stuff, I showed them that we had valuable trade goods. I need an inventory of what they have.

Geez, sorry, didn't get e-mail notifications on this topic and missed quite a bit it seems.

do you know how without google?  ???
Yup - had to learn it for GCSE chemistry and it stuck fairly well since. Plus, it's a really trivial task if you know what to do (and have electricity - and electricity wouldn't be too hard to generate with water wheels/windmills and a good metalsmith).

Do we want to try to become part of the dwarf fortress or the human town? As fond as I am of dwarves, we (may) be less familiar with their ways. Then again, it's DF, so maybe we're more familiar! We can do some work (c'mon, we can haul at least a rock every few days, right?) and we don't consume booze at the same rate they do, so perhaps we could convince the dorfs to take us in.

I'm tempted to try to get some armour and a shield and go lie down amidst a pack of wolves. I'll be awesome at using a shield in no time! :D

And here I was thinking the Depot was in the entrance hall. Ho'kay...
I'm not for joining up with the fortress, too many unfortunate accidents just waiting to happen.
