Chedd,

Unfortunately, it IS late at night. Even the net cafe is closing soon. You'll look into such stuff come morning.

Also, as a scientist, you only need about 6 hours of sleep to feel refreshed. If you can get coffee or energy drinks, you can work on less. Also note, the longer you stay up, the more fail dice I roll, and thus the higher potential for failure... but it doesnt start becoming an actual risk until you get to "Very tired"

you can do the "check fridge and garage" thing right now if you get any seconds, but the investigates will wait until morning.

Yes, search the house for parts. We shouldn't take too much, but at the very least we are going to need a lot of batteries, preferably rechargeable.

Stealing from our own cousin would hurt our pride and be the worst thing we've ever done.

Action 15
You leave the basement, head around to the front door, and retrieve the spare key from behind a brick on the stoop. Unlocking the door and stepping inside, you do a quick search of the common areas. Usual stuff - TV and DVD (and five remotes, for some reason), couch and a glass table with fake flowers on it in the living room. There's also a shelf with a bunch of crappy CDs and movies. Romantic comedies, mostly. Bathroom is normal as well, though a summary search does reveal a bag of disposable razors you might be able to put to use if you ever need them.

The hallway has some paintings - the closet contains several mops and brooms, some cleaning chemicals, and some plastic trash bags. Another smaller closet near the bathroom contains towels and blankets and sheets.

There's a small study with an antiquated desktop computer. It normally has an internet connection, but your cousin suspended it while she was on vacation. There's also a drawing table in here with a built in light, and a shelf of books.

Finally you move into the kitchen. The refrigator doesn't have much in it - Caroline didn't exactly plan on you raiding her fridge. Still, there's some soda, some butter, a number of condiments. There's also plenty of canned food in the cupboard, along with some flour and sugar and baking soda, and what looks likes like a basic first aid bag.

The draws and cupboards of the kitchen reveal plenty of cutlery, plates, pans, and cups, in addition to a draw with a decent number of batteries and two regular flashlights in it. There's also a small windable flashlight. Finally, underneath the sink there are a number of kitchen cleaning chemicals.

On the counter are several large steak knives, two cutting boards, a toaster oven and a microwave.

Out in the garage there is Cousin Caroline's sedan, and in the corner under a tarp is an old dusty dirtbike. There's also a lawn mower, some pruning sheers, and a couple bags of fertilizer.

You return to the kitchen, and make yourself a quick dinner.

I say we look into the possibility of re-engineering those motors to see if we can improve them and make them more efficient. Stopping when we get tired and need to sleep.

Better motors might make our cargo bot actually useful.

Investigate that dirtbike? Is it broken down? If so fix up and borrow it perhaps?
