(Again: If anyone's got LSP's contact info, please shoot me a PM. I'd hate to lose contact.)
Hey, you know, actually toss me on this boat as well. Not that I was terribly close to the dude but he seemed cool outside of apparently European Politics Threads that I never kept up with and so am wildly unqualified to talk about. Likewise Gunner-Chan. With their permissions, obviously.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Eh, even inside Europol he was aight as long as the topic wasn't immigrants. And tbh if the topic wandered there he was usually drowned out by LW :P

I'm going to kinda miss LSP. As annoying as their lack of punctuation and such was, they were entertaining from time to time. It was good to have that force of chaos and bewilderment floating about the place, babbling madness and causing general befuddlement.
GC on the other hand, I can do without.

In actual new sads: I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay here for the rest of my trip.
My mother (who is paying for accommodation) is talking about saving money by going back to stay with relatives in Phoenix. They're really nice and all, but Phoenix (at least the parts that I've seen/that are easily accessible from where they live) is boring as heck.
I'm hoping we either pay more to continue staying in this inn or manage to find another place in town, but who knows. :(

Why not? ???
The absent in question spoke plenty of ill of me.
I don't like to cause friction on here so I generally chose not to respond in kind.

And that's the proper sentiment to react with. Turning the other cheek and all that jazz.
