Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Oh no. Just woke up from a dream involving memories of high school. Now I'm sad. Super sad.
I'm not quite sure why the other day's nostalgia binge didn't have this effect.

The period key on my keyboard broke
Now everything I say sounds terse
Oh well

Drop the capital letters, add breaks between the lines, and you'll be our new LSP!

(Not that there'd be anything wrong with our old one...)

Actual sad: I can't sleep because there's a hay fever on top of my usual insomnia.

You could always open up the manual character entry menu and just click your periods into place. Or set up a simple voice command that types a single period. Or rebind one of the keys you never use like '{' to type a period instead.

I think I kinda like this writing style
Long run on sentences, occasionally interspaced with commas, with line breaks to add
emphasis

and gaps for some reason
Also errant capitalization

I browse the web on a Mac

The first method is possible but very tedious

No, seriously, I'm using a mac for an example. :P The character input is under the accessibility thing in system preferences IIRC, and the voice one I'm pretty sure you could set up under the voice menu in system preferences. I'm not sure if by default there's any options for keybinding, you could probably do something with the automator, but it might be easier to just check around online for an auto macro program for macs and then bind the combination "delete" + "." to whatever key you weren't using. Heck, if you have a mouse with extra buttons you could even just bind one of those to the "." key directly with a macro program (which I know exist on macs, I used to have one).

Buh. Just realised the show I want to go to the day I get back from the 'States (tonnes of friends from around the country, great bands, should be pretty damn fun) is actually in a different state to the one I will arrive in that day.
So I'm either going to have to get a flight for the same day (and have even less time to recuperate from jetlag) or miss out. :(

Or drive?  I mean, you COULD, if scheduling permits.
Although I have this gut feeling scheduling does not permit.
And try and sleep on the plane, or something?  Eh.  I don't know the details of your itinerary nor am I particularly interested in so doing.
Although if you have tons of friends going and you can make the drive work, you could probably hitch a ride, sleep in the car or something.  GL either way.

Have you tried driving across states in Australia?

It's a weird feeling to like... Not have anything to actually be like genuinely sad about in your life happening. But to still be kinda sad because of how weird things feel these days.

I'm not entirely sure where my life is going at the moment, but while some of that is exciting since I don't know what sort of developments are coming it's also kind of... Distressing.

Nope.  Mostly because I live in the US.  It can't possibly be worse than (not)rush hourall the time traffic, can it?  Or is it simply that circuitous?

My understanding is that it's really really really far to drive. With nothing in between.
