snippy
That's an... interesting perspective.

Yeah I'm totally scum of the earth because I'm gay,
And I'm the scum of the earth because I have the autism. Let's be scum-buddies!

fakedit: That sounds kinkier than I intended.

-snip-
They say when you lose a sense, your other ones become stronger. A deaf person might not hear speech, but they can read the subtleties of sign language very readily. A blind person can still hear and feel, and doesn't miss colours or any visual beauty; there's no point in wanting what you can't have. One should make the most of what they're given, and see their flaws as opportunities to become better at other things. An autist might not read social cues or the thoughts and emotions of others very well, but that leaves room for introspection and independence.

I assure you, a person born mute or blind or deaf or crippled or with Down's or autistic or anything else isn't any less capable of happiness than anyone else. Their happiness is simply different. And that is true for everyone, even people without 'conditions'. Be happy with what you have, make the most of it, and help others do so as well. Maybe they will help you too.

(Note: You mentioned 'being born with the gay' as a horrible thing. I disagree on several levels, but let's not talk about that.)
I dunno man. I still feels pretty sad knowing that there are just going to be people who are defective in this world, but I suppose there's nothing I can do to change that fact, and I suppose you learn to cope if you have a defect.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up. You're probably a good person.

My internet is playing up.
It's possible one of my housemates is streaming/downloading something, but I would rather not have to go ask them.

I think that's what's keeping you down dude. The orange part.
Thinking of all those things as if they make you any lesser than people who don't have those things.
((Also seriously. Being gay is in that list? Dude. :I That's the epitome of illogical. Being homosexual has no relevance to all that.))

Don't worry, people will always find a bogus reason to claim you're defective in some way. I mean, when I played soccer in highschool, some kids would often say that they hated playing with me because of my shoulders, since I have tall, large bony shoulders, meaning that if I bumped on them in the wrong way, it would prob hurt them a fair bit.

I would just turn around and say: "thats natural selection for you :P"

A thousand years from now, the new mighty shouldered humans will look back at the flimsy human skeletons of today and laugh >:v
