Well, I apologize then, for possibly sounding like a douchebag.

I'd actually read that story, but it didn't pop to mind.

Well there definitely exists puerile, emasculating optimism on these boards.

I'm in a flame war on a different forum.
I think.
I haven't actually had this much douchebag in a forum in a while.
... I miss Neruz.

No, that's a terrible idea.

Don't feel any emotions, at all. Then you've won.
How about, never feel Really, really bad negative emotions, but feel all the rest?

Actually, apparently only negative memories can cause visceral reactions.
Usually guilt.

Which makes sense, the only times I've ever "felt" the rush of a happy emotion was very much in the moment.
Anyone else noticed that proper nostalgia kinda hurts?

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I've never really seen that much douchbaggery on these forums.
Anyone notice those 6 threads about this one email account posted on all those boards?

Yeah, Tack, that's sort of the definition of nostalgia.

Quote
nostalgia
/nɒˈstældʒə; -dʒɪə/
noun
1.
a yearning for the return of past circumstances, events, etc
2.
the evocation of this emotion, as in a book, film, etc
3.
longing for home or family; homesickness

Oh right.

I was talking about that feeling you get at the point of satiating your nostalgia which is similar to chest-drop.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

I think I lost my great aunt.

I visited her in the hospital back on Friday; a fetus is probably stronger and more capable of higher motor functions than she is right now. It's... it's just sad. I couldn't stand to see her. Rest in peace.

When something is clearly dying, just let it die Josh, just let it die.
I...don't see anything dying at all. Maybe you're overthinking it and assuming too much? Maybe she fell ill?
The time lapse is about a week ago--probably something happened on her side regarding that?

@comic: Best thing to do is to try talking and grabbing that courage to go through that fear instead of...pondering on possibilities that exist in the mind rather than reality. :-\ They're based on reality--they're called probabilities.

I don't find it all that sad. I'd find it creepy if someone were to sit beside me on an empty bus. I know this from experience.

Creepy, silent, and awkwardly uncomfortable.

Then again, a lot of things weird me out. Including this:
*hugs*  :(

This site creeps me right out.

That resilience link Tiruin posted made me sad. Especially this part.
Quote
The primary factor in resilience is having positive relationships inside or outside one’s family. It is the single most critical means of handling both ordinary and extraordinary levels of stress. These positive relationships include traits such as mutual, reciprocal support and caring. Such relationships aid in bolstering a person’s resilience.
Apparently I don't have much resilience, is what it's saying.
