My online course for the summer began this week and I realize that it does, in fact, have a textbook, contrary to the many, many checks I performed prior to the family vacation I took last week. Turns out I was checking all the wrong places. If I don't get it before Friday, I may as well just drop this course. And when I tell my family this, I'll be berated for being "tuned out" and not on top of things, which I suppose is not unfair, but damn this is going to suck.

Super minor sad, but... I feel like playing a videogame, but nothing in my collection appeals to me right now.
Maybe I should pick up Sleeping Dogs sometime, that might scratch my itch. I don't really have money to go spending on games at the moment, though, since I need to save cash for next month (in addition to my usual expenses). Bah.

I was thinking more of console games. If I'm on my computer I generally just browse the forums and play a bit of DF.
This laptop can't handle much in the way of graphical games without lagging. I should probably get back into MUDding again... or run a game of some kind.

Really, though, Tales of a Phantasia is pretty fun as long as you don't mind the annoying amount of fights you encounter. Dunno where you'd find a copy, though.

Also for some reason this discussion reminded me of... Popolocrois? However it was spelled, some game I had on my PSP.
Man, that game was ridiculously fun, especially considering it wasn't a genre I'd usually play much. Unfortunately the UMD met a tragic end involving a large gulp of too-hot coffee whilst I was changing games, and I never got to finish it. One day I'll have to buy another PSP and play it again.

It's the first in the Tales series. I never played Symphonia, so I couldn't tell you how similar they are - heck, I'm still trying to get a copy of Tales of the Abyss, since someone I know said they found it to be the best in the Tales series. S'pretty fun. The encounter rate is irritating, though. And it came out in '95, so you can't move around in a 3D environment during fights. Which is okay because there's a certain attack you can spam to trap a certain boss at the edge of the screen. 
There's a remake for the GBA and PSP, though.

Yeaa... it doesn't look like my sort of thing.
Although that's why I mentioned Poplo-whatever, because it's an example of a game I would not expect to like, which I ended up liking a great deal. Maybe one day I'll play all these games people offhandedly recommend, but I think a higher priority would be tracking down all the PSOne games I half-remember and basking in their sheer awesomeness.
