For the love of God read The Invisible Man. The book is entirely devoted to this topic. I can't even go into how specifically this book is about this. Racism is but a small part.

So the simmering infection I've had has finally sprung up just in time for finals week. Glorious. Hopefully it continues to be weak.
And now it's gone again. What the fuck immune system? Get your shit together.

[It's easy to mistake Nietzsche for a nihilist/Nietzsche Wannabe,
That'd be like calling Bruce Lee a Bruce Lee Clone.

He is, though.  He cloned himself, and taught the clone martial arts, so that the clone could go back in time and teach Bruce Lee his own martial arts.  This is what allowed Jeet Kune Do to develop into infinity at an exponential rate.

Sniff sniff. Pats Cmega3 on back.

I wish I could believe that people are inherently good but I don't really. Most people that I've met are pretty jerky and only respect you if you respect yourself or put them down.

So besides wishing you good luck in finding the few genuinely good people out there, I just want to say I hope you learn to gain happiness just from yourself. Pick up a hobby you love. If you don't have one, then find one (and PLEASE not drinking or smoking for that is a dark path indeed). Computers and the internet are great and we wouldn't be communicating if not for it but I don't think it's really good for it to be a person's only crutch in life. Having a few are good and preferably one that engages you more physically (because it tires you out and takes your mind off things). I guarantee if you find a new hobby for yourself it will help a lot with feeling self fulfilled. I just picked up going to a rock climbing gym myself and am actually enjoying it quite a bit. Granted I don't expect you to do exactly that but it could be anything. Yoga, working out, gardening, biking, archery, cooking, whatever you want! Find something you enjoy and do it. It takes the mind off the pain and makes you feel good when you start to excel at the hobby.

Go to a firing range. Learn the pistol. It's fun as hell.

I can attest to this. Even if you have no interest in owning a gun, there's just something satisfying about putting a few holes in empty cans and bottles.

I always preferred rifles myself. Much easier to shoot, and there's a much more satisfying feel to it.

Tried shotguns and it hurt my ears pretty badly. Might try rifles eventually.

You really gotta wear decent ear defenders. They don't have to be expensive - just there's different kinds of earplugs, so you gotta get the right ones. Shooting is incredibly fun though, especially black powder weaponry.

Never got to use a firearm, used a bow and arrow, and a crossbow, though.
And a blowgun, once, but it wasn't satisfying.

I like javelins, though.

You should always wear ear protection.
Nothing is better than putting 6 or 7 12 Gauge shells down range in rapid succession, and looking at the small shreds of target left.
Rifles are nice as well, especially if it's just a semi .22 that you can fire quickly without stopping. The ammo is cheap, too, and it won't hurt your shoulder.

I have this recoil pad thing that turns the impacts of a 6.5's or a 12 gauge's recoil into a gentle message. That might be something useful.
