Might also be lack of showers, or perhaps the need of an anti-dandruff shampoo, or he has an allergy to shampoo.
Same thing happens to me unless I use some shampoo with anti-dandruff properties.

Petted any stray animals lately? Might be fleas.
[Persuasion 64/90] No, that's not really possible, fleas have been extinct in North America ever since a concentrated inter-governmental effort to eliminate them in the 70's.

Man, I bloody wish.

You never really forget the sight of a flea infestation. When something like 50% of your leg's skin surface is covered in moving black dots, it sticks in your memory.

Buggery things are almost as bad as mosquitoes.

Oh yes... I've seen this exact thing.  Laid down in my bed, looked down, and most of my leg was black.  Somehow, you couldn't see the things until they were on your skin.

I had a hamster at the time, and they sucked it dry.  We couldn't stop them.

Nope, pretty sure it's stress; definitely not fleas.  I've had this problem consistently for the past bit whether dirty or clean.

My entire friggin' head is itching, as it has for days.  I think it's stress-related.

So looking forward to being done.

Fleas give very few fucks as to whether you are dirty or clean.

I have, however, noticed that fleas from my cats dislike staying on humans. They'll give you a bite, and be on their merry way after that. They won't stay on you, they just leave, as if you were a cheap motel that you stay at then leave as fast as possible.

There's like 15 or something different species of fleas with different preferences as far as blood goes. IIRC, cat fleas don't like humans, but dog fleas do or something like that.

I've never seen a flea in my life and I'm very happy about that.

Ticks however...

I never had one myself, but my sister had one once (we discovered it in a car. If she had been the driver I would have so been dead right now >.<) and the cats have them once every few years or so. Not very often, but it's still disgusting to pet a cat and feel some huge blob filled with blood  :S

i find them all the time on my dogs. Just wood ticks though(or dog ticks or common tick or whatever you call them)
we had kept track last year and i counted 44 of them.

only seen 1 deer tick.
deer ticks can carry lime disease so im lucky we havent seen much of them.

I think I had a few ticks on me when I was a kid, mostly after trips to the woods and stuff. It was a pretty rare occurrence, there were like 3-4 total.
