Doctors orders told her to continue smoking.

Even if the umpire says the goal was not legit we know it was a bullshit call and you got the goal.

People like fat food, alcohol, drugs and lots of sugars too, still not any healthy or smart.

Not telling what you can or can't, half my family is smoking, but I can damn well say it's idiotic to start.

Yeah, that's almost as much a crock of shit as the classic "you must always, without question, respect your elders."
Yeah. At least mis madre gives some headway in the thought that "If a girl is coming at me with a knife, I must simply push them out of the way and seek help."
If I may, in some circumstances that JUST ISN'T POSSIBLE. Of course, being the personal shut-in I am, I've never been in such situations, but I know easily that they exist.
I feel lucky that I won't let myself be so vulnerable to such an irrational physical restriction that exists just because "That's the way it is". Of course, people may find that ethically refutable, but I don't really socially associate myself with such people beyond the internet anyway.
There is actually another side to this matter. Besides the obvious implication of "You should not hit women, they are the weaker sex and men bearing violence against them reveals him to be an unchivalrous brute and bully", there is a legal complication as well that necessitates heeding.
I'm not sure how many times you've been in a situation like this, but I've watched my Mother beat the shit out of her boyfriends without provocation. They are bloodied and battered and beaten, and they fight back too, but they leave few marks on my Mom in comparison to the abuse they receive. When the police arrive, they quickly haul the boyfriend away, and they console my Mother and ask if she wants to press charges against him, and she says no cause she loves him, and all the rest of the spiel.
Those are just my experiences, I don't want to sound sexist.
Totally true.  My Dad had to fight for five years over the custody of my sister.  The mother was mentally ill and constantly in trouble however the court was always accustom to siding with the mother so it took a very long time to sort it out.  Thankfully I'm pretty sure my Dad has won in the end because he's had my Sister for quite awhile now.

I feel really weird today.

I think I might go hide somewhere.  I went and got food with someone nice, spoke to someone from last semester's rhetoric class who seemed really super-happy to see me and thanked me for walking with him to where he needed to go, and then talked to a guy while I was waiting for food at the burger shop.  Oh, and I talked to my mom on the phone, too.

Don't get me wrong, this was really good.  Talking to four people on four separate occasions is... well, it's pretty cool!  But I'm exhausted.

I feel like that a lot too.  When I went up to Maine I realized I was doing this all myself.  It's really neat to be sleeping in a different house almost every day because you're doing it all yourself, or something.  I don't know.  I definitely get socially exhausted though.

Yeah, I'm going to have to try to go to bed early or something so that I don't end up sleeping in... AGAIN.

My router gets disconnected somehow or something every 5 to 15 minutes for 30 seconds to 4 minutes at a time between that. This has been going on the entire day. I have no access to it because it's my parents' and they've got the password. So I just drew this picture to let the router know what I think of it.

Chances are that it still has the default password anyway. If not, routers all have a reset button on them in the back. You usually have to use a pen or something to poke it.

If you don't mind sharing, what group is this?

Huh. Yeah, I'd categorize that under "you don't choose what you like (or are attracted to)".

Hey, now it's gone to 'You can't claim to be a persecuted group unless you've had a massive injustice levied against you in the last 100 years', citing the Holocaust, segregation and women's suffrage.

Brilliant. I'm too tired for this shit.

Don't reset it unless you are sure there is no setting required. And once you reset it your parents will definitely know you did something to it. One way you can try is to pull the plug for like 30 secs to a minutes, and replug it. Sometimes it helps.
