On a sad note - flatmate's cat just did a huge crap in the hall outside my room. I had to clean it up.

Decided to give pacifist Iji another try.  Beat Asha.  Apparently I killed someone at some point.

fuckfucking fuck fuck fuckafuck.  Why is this so hard?  What's terrible is that it's not the game that's hard.  Pacifist running this is easy.  The hard part is the bullshit that keeps ruining it for me.

I'm fairly certain that in a pacifist run you kill one person, but I don't remember who exactly that was.

No, you can do it without fighting anyone. Sentinel doesn't count due to roboticness, first Asha fight doesn't result in a death,and blasting the reactor with the Velocithor lets you skip the second Asha fight.

Try pressing the QWERTY keys in order and show what it says. It sounds like your computer switched layouts somehow.

Maybe it switched itself from qwerty layout to azerty layout. I don't have a clue how that would happen, though.

I got one kill again in the Komato Attack Everybody sector of Iji.  Does kicking a turret and accidentally killing someone with it count as a kill?  If not I have no idea who I'm killing unless it's bugged and counting Asha as a kill.
