Your consequence-focused rather than intention-focused morality does not align with my own, and that troubles me.

The purpose of my whole spiel was to explain why it's morally wrong to buy drugs from cartels. It wasn't supposed to be a comprehensive guide to morality. Intention certainly has its place in morality, a big one, but for the purposes of this argument, it wasn't worth mentioning much. Funding the suffering of hundreds isn't excusable just because your sole intention is to get high.
