Finally back to playing through the story of The Last of Us.
I am so damn lazy when it comes to completing games, even awesome ones-- it didn't help that I tried doing it on hard first time through and got stuck. Looks like I'm pulling an all-nighter, just taking a break to have some food to keep myself going.

Yeah, I watched an LP of that, it was definitely seemed like a very a well made game, though there were several things that challenged my suspension of disbelief.

I thought the characters were very believable in their choices and decisions. But the logistics of everything seemed very fishy.

I mean after 20 years of these people basically being in constant warfare with themselves, how is that there is still so much ammo lying around, still so much food, and still so god damn many of them?

Then there was the whole thing with the science behind the explanation of why Ellie is immune. Which I don't want to spoil.

The ending for me really turned the main protagonist from loveable, rough underdog to self-centered lunatic with deep psychological issues. You already get the impression that he's becoming more and more of a cold-blooded killer as the game progresses of course, but the end really seals it. Not sure if that was the point or not, but it's not something that would ever make me want to play through it again.

As for logistics, what I really found unbelievable was these roving urban gangs with not one woman in them. Even Fallout had better gender symmetry. What, women can't be violent psychos in the post-apocalypse? All the women that appear are portrayed as fundamentally decent people, despite the whole, you know, complete collapse of civilization thing.
