So it turns out you totally can convert marshmallow ice cream topping to toasted marshmallow ice cream topping with the application of heat, and it dissolves readily in rum. This bodes well for the cocktail I have been tasked with producing.

Welp, that's La Mulana finished.  Pretty damn good overall, especially in terms of music and bosses (extensive note taking and bloody persistence/ trial and error eventually let me through those stupid puzzles).

There was one thing I found kindof frustrating though, which was the lack of story in many of the fields.

I mean, I really liked Mausoleum of the Giants due to the story/puzzle integration, and was expecting the other fields to be like that.  But a lot of the fields weren't really explained at all (Dimensional Corridor being a sortof exception, although it was disappointingly easy due to minibosses just not doing enough damage).  I'm still not sure what all that Sun Temple stuff was about (was there a Father too?  Who knows?), or what exactly was up with the Chamber of Extinction/ Tower of Ruin.
