It's the rain that gets me. There is no experience quite like running through rain falling so hard it hurts, watching lightning play across the sky. People who stay inside during storms are crazy-folk, and it's not like I'm likely to get struck by lightning (Preemptive xkcd reference).

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Honestly I find trying to get my sister to take me is hilarious just so I can glance at mud puddles and she'll be all "Rosalind no, please?" since she sounds so funny trying to get me to not do things in that silly squeaky voice of hers. .P

And yes I'd go on my own so I could do it any time I wanted if I could. But I'm actually in a situation where I need supervision while out.

Another random happy bit. I found out kinda late than another Winter Scenery dojin got translated. Yeah yeah say what you will some of you stuck up fans, but I love mean evil delinquent Hina and can't get enough of her abusing Cirno, Rinnosuke and anyone stupid enough to get anywhere near her.

The powercut that ate what I was doing on my PC has just ended. Mixed feelings but I'm happy not to be sat in the dark any more.

Oh gog, I just managed to get enough free time to watch all of Cortex Clusterfuck: The Fall of Cyberlich Hitler.

Holy. Shit. I spent most of the video not actually able to watch the video because I was laughing too hard.

Just so you know, quite a few programs do an autosave occasionally; it may not be all gone when you open up whatever program you were working in.

Firefox preserved a chunk of it. Most of it was in software developed in peoples bedrooms and doesn't have that kind of fancy feature. It's fine, it wasn't too much.

Back on topic, I got Touhou: Sky Arena.
Holy freaking fun. Glorious how the combat is actual intense enough that I don't have to deal with my attention being drawn away by random pantyshots. Nice try developers, I'm not that easily tricked.

This game is, indeed, fun.
I wish it handled more like a flight sim though.
As it is, the controls are clunky and awkward, and you can't move well at all outside of targeted mode.

Vector, your last few posts have been so awesomely smile inducing, I would suggest them to be put on a stamp. :P

I needed those laughs. I'd hug you, but I know you and the general physical contact aren't always on speaking terms. :)

Posted the following on Facebook:

"is on his third consecutive day at work where all hell has broken loose, and it's fallen to me to marshal the troops and juggle half a dozen flaming chainsaws at the same time. Metaphorically speaking.

I gotta find a new line of work."

Facebook then suggested "Related to Your Post" with a FB page for "Beer".  :D

Thank you, Facebook. I will take your advice to heart when I get home.
