Okay guys, here's what's gonna go down.  Now, I've played a couple games with VASSAL and I have little experience with the stuff that underwrites it, and several far more skilled groups have attempted it before, but dammit I'm eager and on vacation, so I'm making it happen.

I'm going to make a VASSAL module for GorkaMorka.  Or at least a short-hand pamphlet for using the 40K module to play those old skirmish games.  It's gonna rock, anyone want in?

Aren't you supposed to be working on the Annihilation Ængine? ;)

But really, I am curious about its status. I was thinking about asking you about it the other day, but forgot about it.

Kinda sifted way way down my to-do list over the semester.  I'm on vacation now, so I could finally make it playable, but as I sit here thinking of it, I'm running into the same logical stumbling blocks that made me put it aside in the first place (close combat rules mainly).  No reason not to take it up again, but a half-dozen incomplete projects at a time is my usual way of doing things.

I'm sure we can find a mod.

I've been looking.  it appears that the people who made the 40K mod wanted to make a GorkaMorka/Necromunda/All Purpose Skirmish mod, but nothing more than a statement of intent was posted in March.  There might be more, but not I can readily find.

Well at this point it think its probably time to make some more armies out of other races so I'll see if I can slap a 500 pointer together.

No, they're still in regular armies, if I remember correctly. They tend to show up more in Jump Infantry squads.

How exactly do I save an army so I can use it online?

Anyway, I think I'm ready to play my first game, as soon as I make my army. Anyone got patience for a 1v1 with a total beginner? I'll likely need some help with the rules.
