   Nirur's efforts are not in vain, because the group's speed improves considerably. Jogging, sprinting and running, they cover a substantial distance in a short timeframe and let the curve of another hill protect them from the eyes of any pursuers. Cheeetar and Org are quite exhausted by the exercise, not having near enough endurance for such running. Nirur conserves his strength, jogging at a slightly slower pace, and is still full of strength when he joins them. Together, they wait for Errol.   
      
   Errol's torches slipped out of his belt as he ran, so he had to return and pick them up. His clumsiness was greatly rewarded, however, when he noticed a glint of metal in the ground near the torches. Curious, he tried to pull the item out. It wouldn't budge. Using one of the torches as a digging stick, Errol scrapes away the soil around the object, revealing the handle of some weapon, deeply stuck in the ground.   
      
   When Errol, tired from digging and running, finally rejoins the company, he happily carries with him a great trophy - a finely crafted long dagger made of steel. The weapon couldn't have belonged to the people of Boottrusses though - such craftsmanship would be beyond mere farmers and peasants.

Background: [11]   The field doesn't seem to plan to end anywhere. The tracks can still clearly be seen, going fairly straight in a northward direction.

Boottrusses:   A tiny hamlet. Four wrecked houses, some broken fences, some trees, and lots and lots of grass here. A note is stuck to a pole saying that it was abandoned by the order of the Council of Lies due to a "Fiend of Assaults".   
Green Field:   A vast stretch of grassland surrounding Boottrusses.

We should probably rest for a bit, so the rest of you don't arrive completely fatigued.

I'll do cartwheels to improve my agility.

EDIT- I set the things I'm carrying down on the ground first. It is generally considered unwise to do cartwheels while carrying a bottle of alcohol.

I put away the cudgel and inspect the dagger. Then I carefully look around the area.

I vote we set up a little resting area at this place, to train our skills before we go on.

If the general consensus is to wait here a bit, I'll find an area where I can keep a good eye on the surrounding landscape (to detect treasure, enemies, etc) when I am doing stuff. If not, I shall continue with the group, trying to conserve my energy and not have my exhausted status continue.

Erm... hello? Campfire = smoke = mile-wide visible beacon screaming "VISIT ME GUYS". There isn't any need to go undercover or, y'know, evade some attackers, right?

Not if there's no reason to make one (cooking, warmth, or scaring dangerous animals off.) Here, it would just tell enemies that are searching for us exactly where we are. Errol is right.

I've also made a revision to my action, setting the bottle down before doing any exercises.

   Feeling slightly safer with the danger being out of sight, the group settles down for some rest. Cheeetar searches for a suitable spot to keep an eye on the surroundings, but all he sees is just grass and bushes. Setting down near a bush, he eventually abandons his idea completely and decides to just have a good rest. Errol settles down as well and carefully looks over his new weapon. The dagger, though finely crafted, is rather plain and does not feature any imagery or other improvements.   
      
   Not feeling quite tired, Nirur puts his posessions on the ground and tries to practice his agility by doing cartwheels. The exercise is cut short by an inconveniently located anthill, which Nirur accidentally lands into. As hundreds of ants begin to threaten his skin's integrity, he is forced to spend a good few minutes shaking the tiny, but persistant attackers off himself.   
      
   Org chuckles slightly at Nirur's improvised tribal dance. Weighing his dagger in hand, he then practices some basic thrusts and swings, fighting against an imaginary opponent. It's not a good way to practice, but it helps Org understand the basics of proper daggerwork.   
      
Background: [13]   When he's done freeing himself from the mandibled menace, Nirur can pay some attention to the surroundings. Straining his eyes a little, he notices faint traces of smoke in the northern sky.

Should we move towards the smoke?
If so, I'll move with them, keeping my eyes out for any enemies at either side.
If not, I shall put some stones in the iron casket and run backwards and forwards carrying it.
