If I succeed then I work on my spellcasting to try and raise my proficiency.
You try to work with the magic more, to gain a better understanding, but you still feel drained from your previous efforts and don't accomplish much.

Well, cancel my previous action. I charge the goliath, trying to kill it.
Do you mean the one in the building a goodly distance away, the officer leading the defenders, or the gigantic flying thing that seems intent on blasting holes in you?
I charge at the officer leading the defenders.
You leap to your feet, charge the defenders at a dead sprint, heedless of the hordes of projectiles now flying your way, and easily jump over the front line of them, looking for the officer.  You spot him easily, and drop onto him from above, catching him completely by surprise.  You land on him with considerable force, and hear a sickening crack from his torso as he collapses to the ground.  You are now in the middle of a bunch of *very* angry creatures who's commanding officer you just maimed, and it looks like the reinforcements also included a wider variety of weapons.

I practice my geomancy by helping Org shape a body out of rock and dirt. If he doesn't want any help I launch several tons of rock towards the settlement.
You try the same thing again, except on a larger scale, but you only accomplish frustrating yourself.

Org, join the dark side... these mortals have already made bodies for you...

Ah, another spirit. And the big guy is talking to a brick... excellent.
Hey, you. Join the dark side, hmmn? You know you want to. Unlimited power, immortality, it's all within your grasp. Just let me in...

I weaken Goliath's resolve (will penalty)
You attempt to whisper into the Goliath's mind in an attempt to persuade him to let you in, but he actually visibly laughs.  If anything, you've only made him more determined to resist you.

I steal a body for myself to inhibit.
You try to steal 'Matty's' body, but you aren't exactly sure how to go about it, with himself actually being semi-physical within a physical shell.

I try to extract some knowledge of what these creatures are doing here..
You try to apply the magic in the same way as you did on the hilltop, and manage it perfectly.   Once again, images bombard you, but you are better prepared this time.  This place is a military outpost guarding the 'border', which itself seems to the the stretch of scarred land you just arrived from.  The one in charge, who seems to be the Goliath, is known as 'War Leader Kav', and he is fully responsible for the entire outpost.  Other things rush past you because you don't understand their culture or language, but you feel more confident in your spellcasting abilities.

Quote from: Defenders
They attempt to save the officer that Cheeetar crippled.
Cheeetar suddenly finds himself beset by dozens of the creatures, and the officer is dragged away towards the settlement as Cheeetar is thrown from the group by one of the larger creatures back out into the open.  He wonders why they didn't just kill him there, then he realizes that the flying machine was still around...

Quote from: War Leader Kav
He orders his guards to follow him as he leaves the room.
He barks several orders to his men, returns the rectangular object (which, oddly enough, seems to be making noise..) and they all march out of the room.

Quote from: Pilot
He tries to destroy Cheeetar.
Apparently not content with his original choice of weapon, his aircraft fires several dozen projectiles which seem to come from pods hung under short, stubby wings.  Cheeetar manages to avoid most of them, but is thrown to the ground again when one of the projectiles explodes nearby, though he seems to avoid damage.

With so many things going on, no one notices anything happening.

EDIT: And with the seventh turn I feel confident that I can write larger turns.  Anyone interested should post, and I'll try to figure out how I can get more players in here without breaking what we've got going.
EDIT Again: To be a bit more clear, I'll work out a way to take four more players.

Son of a-
NO ONE SHALL RESIST ME. I HAVE SWAYED THE MINDS OF THE NOBLEST HEROES. I HAVE CORRUPTED THE WISEST KINGS. I HAVE TOYED WITH THE GENIUS OF THE GREATEST SCIENTISTS!
So why can I not possess this creature? It's talking to a brick, for crying out loud! Possessing him should be simple! I just... uhh.. I mean, first I... er...

Damn.

I appear to have forgotten how to possess people.
This calls for... possessee prime!
Ah, I remember him fondly. He thought that summoning an ex-god into his body would grant him immortality. He was right, in a way. I have caried his mind with me always, for situations like this.

Hey, you. Why can't I possess this creature?

I consult an ancient conciousness, in order to refresh my possession skill.

EDIT:It's page 2 for me... change it to post 77.

Wait, if this is a military outpost on the "border", then their ought to be a reason they're here, and that reason's probably not friendly to them...

I try to get a rough overwies of this "Border". Leaving out the details, I just scry for sings of occupation

"Fools! You cannot destroy me! Either join me now, or die one by one! Even if you destroy this pathetic body, I will come back!"
I try and frighten them into running away or serving me.

Well I try to refresh myself and thus take away my drained status.

(For the future)
Plan A:If I succeed I upgrade my pitiful shell through whatever means posible.
Plan B:If I fail then I once again try to refresh myself.
(For the far future)
Plan Aa: If I succeed then I look closer at its functions.
Plan Ab: If I fail I try again to upgrade my shell.
Plan Ba: If I succeed I work on my spell weaving.
Plan Bb: If I fail I REFRESH MYSELF AND THATS FINAL!!!

Uh, that's actually a mistake on my part.  It was supposed to wear off this turn..  I'll fix that.  xD

Anyway, it looks like no one has bitten at the chance to join yet...  Should I roll the next turn, or wait for people to join up?

EDIT: Too tired to stay up or write another turn.  It can wait until tomorrow, at least...
EDIT Again: And tomorrow it is.  Turn up in an hour or two.
EDIT Once more: And *then* I notice Org hasn't posted.  Damnit.
Edit Assault: I rolled a one on my perception for that one.

Hey, you. Why can't I possess this creature?

I consult an ancient conciousness, in order to refresh my possession skill.
You try to draw on the ancient presence within yourself...  And realize there is nothing.  Whatever brought you here stripped you of most of (or all of) your powers.  The revelation is a bit chilling.

I posses one of the enemies.
You don't see anyone nearby, so you head towards the place all the others went.  You reach the area, noting the large flying chunk of metal hovering around the area.

Wait, if this is a military outpost on the "border", then their ought to be a reason they're here, and that reason's probably not friendly to them...

I try to get a rough overwies of this "Border". Leaving out the details, I just scry for sings of occupation
You try the spell again, but trying to shape it to tell you about the border zone fails miserably, though you aren't sure why.

"Fools! You cannot destroy me! Either join me now, or die one by one! Even if you destroy this pathetic body, I will come back!"
I try and frighten them into running away or serving me.
Though you would probably be pretty intimidating to any sort of primitive creatures, the massive amount of firepower these ones have seems to mock your attempts to make them fear you, though it looks like some of them are pulling back...

I use my geomancy to absorb a lot of earth and stone to improve my body.
You carefully begin drawing fragments of stone out of the earth, carefully placing them all over your magical form in an attempt to reinforce it.  When you finish, you admire your handiwork.  You don't think you learned anything, but this form is likely to be much more capable of taking damage.

Plan A:If I succeed I upgrade my pitiful shell through whatever means posible.
Once again, you draw upon the magic.  Though sluggish and reluctant now, you feel like you can still grasp it with some effort, and you charge your magical form with the energy.

Quote from: Defenders
They seem to be trying to pull back for some reason....
The infantry pull back, and soon Cheeetar sees why.  Several large vehicles drive through the gap, all leveling a variety of nasty looking weapons at him.  Cheeetar thinks he can hear something shouted from the vehicles.

Quote from: Pilot
He seems to be trying to fiddle with something in the cockpit..
You hear a hideous shrieking from the flying machine, and what would sound like cursing in the background of the noise.

Cheeetar finally understands what the creatures are saying, and it seems like the voices from the vehicles are demanding that he stand down or be destroyed.

Well, I believe that I know what to say now...
Quote from: Me, when my last follower was killed
OH SHIT
So, new plan.
Oh great goliath! I bow myself down before you in appology! Just now did I realise that you were not the evil demon Niu'Rgth! Ah, fool that I am!
I beg you for mercy! I did not know what I was doing! Please, tell me of how I can make good my crimes!

I apologise to the goliath, and offer my services to him.

Not that I have any intention of doing some dumb quest for this guy. Just stalling my eventual takeover of his body.

(Hey, I didn't actually do any damage, right? I mean, all I did was try to possess people, that's not a crime, right? Right?)
