If I succeed then I work on my spellcasting to try and raise my proficiency.
You try to work with the magic more, to gain a better understanding, but you still feel drained from your previous efforts and don't accomplish much.
Well, cancel my previous action. I charge the goliath, trying to kill it.
Do you mean the one in the building a goodly distance away, the officer leading the defenders, or the gigantic flying thing that seems intent on blasting holes in you?
I charge at the officer leading the defenders.
You leap to your feet, charge the defenders at a dead sprint, heedless of the hordes of projectiles now flying your way, and easily jump over the front line of them, looking for the officer.
You spot him easily, and drop onto him from above, catching him completely by surprise.
You land on him with considerable force, and hear a sickening crack from his torso as he collapses to the ground. You are now in the middle of a bunch of *very* angry creatures who's commanding officer you just maimed, and it looks like the reinforcements also included a wider variety of weapons.
I practice my geomancy by helping Org shape a body out of rock and dirt. If he doesn't want any help I launch several tons of rock towards the settlement.
You try the same thing again, except on a larger scale, but you only accomplish frustrating yourself.
Org, join the dark side... these mortals have already made bodies for you...
Ah, another spirit. And the big guy is talking to a brick... excellent.
Hey, you. Join the dark side, hmmn? You know you want to. Unlimited power, immortality, it's all within your grasp. Just let me in...
I weaken Goliath's resolve (will penalty)
You attempt to whisper into the Goliath's mind in an attempt to persuade him to let you in, but he actually visibly laughs. If anything, you've only made him more determined to resist you.
I steal a body for myself to inhibit.
You try to steal 'Matty's' body, but you aren't exactly sure how to go about it, with himself actually being semi-physical within a physical shell.
I try to extract some knowledge of what these creatures are doing here..
You try to apply the magic in the same way as you did on the hilltop, and manage it perfectly. Once again, images bombard you, but you are better prepared this time. This place is a military outpost guarding the 'border', which itself seems to the the stretch of scarred land you just arrived from. The one in charge, who seems to be the Goliath, is known as 'War Leader Kav', and he is fully responsible for the entire outpost. Other things rush past you because you don't understand their culture or language, but you feel more confident in your spellcasting abilities.
They attempt to save the officer that Cheeetar crippled.
Cheeetar suddenly finds himself beset by dozens of the creatures, and the officer is dragged away towards the settlement as Cheeetar
is thrown from the group by one of the larger creatures back out into the open. He wonders why they didn't just kill him there, then he realizes that the flying machine was still around...
He orders his guards to follow him as he leaves the room.
He barks several orders to his men, returns the rectangular object (which, oddly enough, seems to be making noise..) and they all march out of the room.He tries to destroy Cheeetar.
Apparently not content with his original choice of weapon, his aircraft fires several dozen projectiles which seem to come from pods hung under short, stubby wings.
Cheeetar manages to avoid most of them, but is thrown to the ground again when one of the projectiles explodes nearby, though he seems to avoid damage.

EDIT: And with the
seventh turn I feel confident that I can write larger turns. Anyone interested should post, and I'll try to figure out how I can get more players in here without breaking what we've got going.
EDIT Again: To be a bit more clear, I'll work out a way to take four more players.
