... I learned to do basic modding just to get stone bins, barrels, and beds because it seemed the most dwarfly thing to do.

...the idea of an entire hallway filled completely with traps seems not only perfectly reasonable, but also vital to daily life.

...Sunlight makes me vomit.

Mind if I sig? Because this describes me perfectly.

I'm considering a star sapphire engagement ring instead of diamond.

Are you planning to have a dwarf wedding? Where you just decide that you're married and nothing else happens?

Burning and raping the land is recreational. Where business is concerned, though, sustainability is the name of the game.

In other news, I had my first ASCII (well, graphic pack... >_>) dream last night. Involving planning out a bridge...

...I actually like playing a dwarf in World of Warcraft.

But who knows how much longer I'll be playing that game? Now that I have the hang of Dwarf Fortress-- I just started playing it a few weeks ago-- it's eating up all my time instead of WoW. I can't be as creative in a breathtaking 3D environment where you systematically just kill everything over and over.

My partner wouldn't touch Alliance until she started playing DF. Then she started a Dwarf Paladin.

UristMcDwarf cancels level grinding: Interrupted by Horde

As for me, I literally named *my* Dwarf Pally UristMcDwarf. I even get comments on it now and then :D

I want to get a block of microcline and some stonecrafting tools and make a mug.

That beats a talc mug for sure.  Or rock salt.  Yum.

A rock salt mug would be great for margaritas :D

Because of Dwarf Fortress, whenever there is a violent conflict, I send in the pregnant women in hopes that they'll give birth mid-battle so that the baby will assist the mother in the fight.

My family thinks I'm a hackerbecause I always have all of this code on my screen.

I hate elves.

Wood is sissy, give me metal.

I always reference dwarf fortress, and even did a short story assignment in English class about it.

Now that me and my girlfriend's best friend (he's also a good friend of mine) have gotten into Dwarf Fortress - and tried to convince her to play - I've been told I'll go without for a week every time I speak of dwarves.

That's what I thought, too.

On the flip side, I'm sure she did get pretty sick of hearing our conversations about it.

I no longer update my facebook with real life status updates but rather what my fortress is doing
This.

You HAVE to tell me more about this short story of yours.
