yeah, there were a few peices of wood and some barrels and lots of clothes. it gave me the message "the oak wagon has been scuttled!" and then spammed me constantly about the diplomat who would wake up, walk a few squares and pass out again from his injuries.

and really unlucky with the wolf, i guess.

I had an Ettin kill off 7 adventurers.

7.

Just an Ettin.

I don't know what I'll do if I ever see a GCS.

Odd how "Experiment" in DF is often synonymous with "Raging inferno of death and dispair"

I wonder if you can make spider-men with 6 arms.

Skeletal GCS.

I don't even know how that works, since GCS have exoskeletons, not Endoskeletons.

Maybe they have an extra skeleton? Or maybe we should be imagineing...you know, like hollowed out spiders with empty eyes and stuff. Wait...your right. That wouldn't work...

Well this is the Internet. Home of things that spit in the face of logic.

Alternately: Skeletal Giant eagle.

YOU CAN'T BREAK BONES WITH BOLTS.

Now first, i was a titan. If i was a bronze colossus my throat wouldn't matter at all.
Doesn't [SEVER_ON_BREAKS] mean head-falls-off then though? I'm not experienced on the matter.

...compared to regular skeletal beings, which make perfect sense?

You can allow or stop your dwarves from eating these mushrooms, but it's entirely optional and doesn't turn Dwarf Fortress into Dwarf hookah-smoking pad.

Heh, I wonder if you could get lucky and climb into the shell/armor/exoskeleton of a Skeletal Giant Scorpion. Maybe something for version 1.

For that viciously bad pun, I'm gonna introduce a NPC named Vlynndar just so that I can kill him of in a cruel and unusual way.

you can climb into a dead giant scorpion. just go fort mode and make them into leather armor. leather armor made from giant desert scorpion chitin should really be better then normal leather armor. as it is when i make it its just more valuable. oh well. waiting for the day when i can make mugs from peoples skulls. earings and bracelets are all fine, but i want my dwarves drinking from elf skull tankards...

GCS is always extra nasty because it can web you then chew away at its leisure. interesting to find in fort mode. never met one yet in adventure mode. the wiki article on it is funny. i still hate elite bowpeople the most.

I've made a fortress on the side of a river filled with carp. Two dwarves died. Not from the carp. From a sea lamprey.

A fucking sea lamprey.

That would be intense, I can see a lamprey twisting around some helpless dwarf, sucking on his tender flesh.

Also, just set the GCS pop to 25:50.

Will update with the horrible results.

Giant lions in groups are the most horrible thing ever to fast spawn on as a new spear user >.<

Groups of anything are GG for a spearman.
