"Well now... this is surely sufficient." Walking silently through the facility, the figure stopped on top of a massive tank storing refined fuel. "Now let's see how bright it can burn."
Gently lifting off from the tank, the man aims his hand downward, index and middle fingers pointing at the top of the tank. "Activate Khi." A sudden wave of cold draws the attention of nearby workers doing maintenance. They look up and stare in wonder at the strange shadow looming above the tank.
"Kappa."
A purple flash of light stabs down from the man's fingers toward the tank, a shining needle of energy easily piercing the sheets of metal. The entire tank erupts upwards and sideways, its volatile content spewing forth in a blazing fireball! The workers scream and try to run for their lives... when suddenly it all ends. One worker stumbles, another tries to help him get up. Suddenly they both realise they are not dead yet, and look back at the tank. The sight boggles their minds. Instead of an advancing wall of fire, they see a gigantic cloud, translucent, swaying in the faint wind. It begins to dissolve, fading into thin air, revealing the mangled remains of the tank covered with frost. Slowly, the frightened workers approach the site. One of them calls for help with his radio, and soon the area around the "explosion that failed to happen", as reporters quickly dub it, was full of varous people, from police and the factory's emergency personnel to plain civilian bystanders that somehow made their way here.
Still unseen, the black-armored figure floated above the crowd, waiting.
<ooc> I don't expect the energy from this explosion to be in any way sufficient for resuming construction. I will wait for a sizeable crowd to gather around here, but I won't wait too long. Two-three dozens of people will have to suffice for now. </ooc>
