Translation's started on the sequel to Grisaia no Kajitsu, which is supposedly pretty great. I'm still working through the first game -- only finished Makina's route so far -- but it cured the VN burnout I was experiencing post-Umineko. And Mahoyo should be done by the summer too, so there's a lot to look forward to on that horizon.

Makina's route is awesome.  Everything else is going to pale in comparison besides a few parts.

I am just wondering if it will be faithful

Or if it will MODERN ANIME it.

To admit, the anime was already pretty close to a modern anime as it is with its theme of "The adults are morons" but in the anime's case it justified it (in the same way that Valkyria Chronicles the game justified it) in a rather believable way.

I am just wondering if it will keep its current tone or exaggerate it to hilarious degrees.

Is it wrong that I am hoping that the anime is either really great and faithful or really terrible and hilarious?

It has pretty rigid source material to stick to so I imagine it will be pretty similar.

So did Valkyria Chronicles and it didn't stop them from turning it into a REALLY underwhelming stereotypical Tsundere comedic anime, entirely rewriting entire scenes and events... and don't get me wrong, the source material had its silly aspects like a masochist who loved getting shot and an entire filler section where a main character reveals that he loves vegetables.

Trust me, they can find a way. 

They just have to "modernize" it.

Actually apparently it's not a remake of the series so much as a fresh re-adaptation of the novels.  The original anime was apparently pretty faithful to the novels (other than adding in Dusty) but they could easily choose to change the focus and include scenes the original cut.
