I might be able to recover my computer so I'll just post-pone this until I know what's up.

So, i picked up the way-old save i have, and discovered that as of that point in time, all the surviving local leaders for the goblins and orcs were in our cages.

Hello!  No word yet on what's happening.  Hopefully we'll get our info soon.

As for the leaders, neat.  Our kill count for invaders was like a 1000 or something so that sounds right.

Neat, someone could make a histogram or whisker plot from that.

Screw relaxing!  THIS IS DWARF FORTRESS.

*

5th Felsite, 201, Late-Spring:

Welp, we've got the basic layout down we do.  We plan on having a 19x19 little fort to withdraw attacks.  We should be able to expand downwards if we have to and the sky is always and option.  Anyway, here's the overview.

The surface, I'm going to have to cover some of that water, but the rest will stay for a moat.

Underground -1, This is the only floor that's going to be effected by the moat, no big deal.  All our stuff is here for now.

*

16th Limestone, 201, Early-Autumn:

The cavaran and liason came today, [insert lore here].

Yeah don't ask about the orcs.  These guys turn invisible when frightend or something.  They are from some different dimension that teleports next to our fort to make it look like they travled here, they probably got guns and went back in time to stiff us!  Boy I hate these guys now.

*

28th Sandstone, 201, Mid-Autumn:

Migrants are here!~ *breaks into song*

Here.
Here.
Here.
Migrants are here!
They are here.

We have...

1 Planter
1 Stoneworker
2 Peasants
2 Childern(!)
1 Stonecrafter
1 Soap Maker
1 Bone Carver
1 Hunter

TOTAL: 10 dwarves.

That's nice.

*

1st Granite, 202, Early-Spring:

The first year never has anything big happen, unless the orcs attacked it would be nothing. Like this one.

*

Save in a minute.  Are you still up for year 2 (name here)?

SAVE:  http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1153

It uses .40d12 by-the-way.

I am, though i will have to do some downloading.

That's the problem with .40d12.   ;D  40 MB or something.   ::)

The only lever there is the one that controls the bridge, I put notes everywhere so read up!  Orcs usually attack year 2, so I advice you just lock yourself in the the drawbridge.  Even one squad could wipe our fortress right now.

EDIT:  Well I just checked and it's sort of large because there is a bunch of saves you don't need there.  Sorry.   ::)

1st granite

This fortress seems to be perfectly normal and good, a nice contrast to that one where a human master spearman slaughtered most of the military with the help of crossbows. I’m told it may have magma somewhere, but that can wait

9th granite

Elves have arrived, and I finally got around to checking on stone stocks. Seems we need some more, as well as needing materials for steelworking.

18th slate

I stole the elven caravan’s stuff a while back, now I decided to designate a large farm area. Struck some lignite in the tunnels, still holding out for magma, flux, and better coal

Also, the miners have found something special

Not the metal of the gods, but still nice.

26th slate

Fresh meat…

1 hunter
3 peasants
1 wood burner
4 assorted farming related dudes
1 brewer
1 gem setter
1 gem cutter
1 jeweler
2 animal caretakers
1 miner
1 blacksmith
1 bowyer
 18 total

I’ve recruited the peasants, the hunter, and one of the less useful farm types to form the military.

5th felsite

“Magma is your shield, your weapon, and the strength of the mountainhome.

9th felsite

Hey, magnetite. Only thing that could make this day more perfect is flux.

Cool update!  We have everything we need for metal production except flux!  Sweet!  Lot better than last time.  Get the metal production ON!  What rock type is it anyway?  I want to know what cool metals we can get!  I don't remember what it was!
