Apart from the rampant tree chopping operations of course :P

Yeah.  I'm pretty sure that Nist Akath has chopped down 400% of all the natural foliage.

Technically true, since 400% of 0 is still 0 :P

Hello Cap'n. 'Nother fresh 'n eager recruit willing to buckle up for a pint of grog and a steel sword.

What... is your name: Mr Tk
What... is your gender: Male (Although you can have a female called Mr Tk if you want).

Any job will do, but something which involves putting sharp shiny end of metal stick into soft fleshy meat of the green skinned knob faces is preferable.

Grog?  What is this grog?  All we have here is booze.

BOOZE.

Are you saying that there are no alcoholic beverages in Nist Akath that have some rum in them, because that's what grog is.

Well there's straight up dwarf rum i'm sure. Don't see dwarves diluting an alcoholic beverage though.

Damn, i took me half a week, but i finally finished this epic. All i have to say is that this is probably the best tale i have ever read that was online, and that it definitely deserves an e-book, if not induction into DF canon. Boatmurdered got me play DF, this story rekindled my intrest in it, as well as gave me ideas on what to do/make. I salute you Captain.

Also, im glad that the story of Nist Akath isnt over, as i feared it was when i started reading it and saw 150+ pages; it makes me feel like im participating in an event that will be remembered forever.

On a side note, if you ever get some human guards again, can i have one?

Name: Silvereye
Profession: Warrior, sword(2 handed if possible, otherwise a normal one will do)
Gender: Male
Backstory: An orphan from birth, Silvereye grew up on the streets, using his wits to survive. When war ravaged his country, he took up a fallen sword and fought, eventually earning recognition for his fighting prowess; as well as his name, from the scar that an enemy trooper carved across his left eye. Once the war was over, he left his country, wandering around and fighting those he encountered. Hearing of Nist Akath, the fortress of heros and the legendary Captain Ironblood, he set out for it, hoping that he could improve further, as well as maybe meet some worthy opponents.

"I am Silvereye. I have heard of your exploits Captain, and I have come to join your ranks. My blade is yours."

He rarely disobeys orders, and then only for the most extreme reasons. He is naturally suspicious, only trusting those that prove themselves. He is soft spoken, usually only speaking at length to friends, and he bears a hatred for anyone who torments those below their station (ie, a noble beating a peasant), knowing exactly what it feels like.

You just know he's gonna get his eye ripped out by a goblin now :P (or a megabeast, this being Nist Akath)

Oh well, at least having a character in Nist Akath is awesome.

Also, i'd like to recommend a few songs to the soundtrack:
I Fought the Law-The Clash (for those "justice" heavy days during Dirty's rule)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16u0wwCfoJ4
Soldiers of the Wasteland-Dragonforce (dunno, just seemed to fit)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkziJ-j1dNU&feature=related
Whats Left of the Flag-Flogging Molly (i would reclaim to this; also could double as an ending battle theme)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsFlwQdJSa8
Shoot Me Again-Metallica (Ironblood)

I probably won't have an update for about a week and a half at best. Holiday season and all that. Also doing other things than DF in general.

I just finished reading the entire thread up to this point in one night...dear Armok this is epic!

I can't just sit idly by and read as it unfolds, so I hereby humbly request a swordsdwarf of my very own.

His (or her, as long as they wield a sword) name should be "Sirablam Zin¡m" (warmstone drybread in dwarvish), and if they're not constantly sparring/patrolling then something's wrong.

OH, before I forget. My dwarf has a thing for playing in the arena with the POW's. I'll need all the practice I can get if I'm trying to survive to stand at the almighty Captain's side during the final battle! ;D

Edit: Swordsdwarf? What the hell was I thinking?! If the captain's mighty axe doesn't cut it then I stand no chance. I'll take the closest thing there is to Cabinetdwarf, so that leaves me with a hammer.

Edit 2: Sentences are best ended with periods.
