Damn, i took me half a week, but i finally finished this epic. All i have to say is that this is probably the best tale i have ever read that was online, and that it definitely deserves an e-book, if not induction into DF canon. Boatmurdered got me play DF, this story rekindled my intrest in it, as well as gave me ideas on what to do/make. I salute you Captain.
Also, im glad that the story of Nist Akath isnt over, as i feared it was when i started reading it and saw 150+ pages; it makes me feel like im participating in an event that will be remembered forever.
On a side note, if you ever get some human guards again, can i have one?
Name: Silvereye
Profession: Warrior, sword(2 handed if possible, otherwise a normal one will do)
Gender: Male
Backstory: An orphan from birth, Silvereye grew up on the streets, using his wits to survive. When war ravaged his country, he took up a fallen sword and fought, eventually earning recognition for his fighting prowess; as well as his name, from the scar that an enemy trooper carved across his left eye. Once the war was over, he left his country, wandering around and fighting those he encountered. Hearing of Nist Akath, the fortress of heros and the legendary Captain Ironblood, he set out for it, hoping that he could improve further, as well as maybe meet some worthy opponents.
"I am Silvereye. I have heard of your exploits Captain, and I have come to join your ranks. My blade is yours."
He rarely disobeys orders, and then only for the most extreme reasons. He is naturally suspicious, only trusting those that prove themselves. He is soft spoken, usually only speaking at length to friends, and he bears a hatred for anyone who torments those below their station (ie, a noble beating a peasant), knowing exactly what it feels like.
