Jaanin'Maldaraak
Jaanin'Maldaraak considers the circumstances...

The Swampmen simply cannot afford to take actions aside from gathering food right now, as their stockpiles are critically low and have been for a while. Things might turn around for them on account of the new Foraging tech. Food should be their primary concern if they begin the turn with less than twice their population's number of food stockpiled lest bad luck cripple them once again.

The Foraging technology would give the followers of Jaanin'Maldaraak an advantage over the western tribes. More effective foraging meant a higher population could be sustained, and more workers could afford to research. Going forward, foraging groups should consist of at least two people for optimal efficiency.

Jaanin'Maldaraak ponders tile detail observation
Jaanin'Maldaraak noted that the two hill tiles appear to be identical. Is this an indication that tiles of a specific terrain type would be mostly identical in function as well?

Thul, Purity of Avarice
Thul observes the forage knowledge of his rival with intense jealousy. Why aren't his own tribes so advanced?

Thul channels his envy, creating two magnificent herds of deer, in the forests at C5 and C6.
He ponders, putting the finishing touches on Replenish Basic Food.

Zastarn Bonekin
The tribe up until this far had no reason to believe gods existed. That is, until the new land appeared to their north. This sparked a wild amount of debate as to the nature of the gods, and ultimately 5 of the tribemembers spent their time worshiping the freshly confirmed Jaanin'Maldaraak in hope of convincing them to create more land and in turn, more food.
The remaining 2 remain unswayed, and instead go to forage the newly founded F1.

The Tauri

2 workers research wooden tools
1 worker researches crude spears  // perhaps this will get us on the path to becoming hunters
1 worker researches wooden spears  // probably a wooden shaft with no stone point
1 worker scavenges for food at C3
1 worker scavenges for food at C4
1 worker scavenges for food at B3

Will Thul be angry that we did not pray this turn?  We look warily to the sky for signs of divine wrath....

No, I'm out of important FP expenditures for now, but we have trap making already with 10 RP. Traps likely work on deer.

As do spears. Which is better though.

Do you actually want crude spears or wooden ones? Cause crude is literally a branch lying on the ground shattered at the end, not that effective and likely to break.

I figured I would bring Trap Making up to 10 to see if we could see the end.  With no end in sight, it could be anywhere from 13 to 99.  Assuming that we always can see the end when we get to within 2.  I'm getting the impression it's too advanced to continue pursuing, for now, but who can tell for sure?

Crude spear is probably just a sharpened shaft with no stone point added.  If it ends up costing 6, like the other easy techs, we could combine to finish it quickly.  But, of course, how much it costs is up to the game master, not me.

edit:  I changed it to say "Wooden Spear", since a "crude spear" would likely be not effective

Not really an issue. At least you do post. And that is all that's needed to keep the game going, players posting, GM updating.

Assuming no other changes, Actions Locked. Expect a turn in at most 2 days.

Turn 10- a struggle to improve,

Thul flexes his divine power, producing two groups of Deer. As he does so, he feels them as his.
Thul's Tiles spoiler has been added. This will showcase the current data of those tiles' divine improvements.
Thul then Ponders, making a breakthrough in Replenishing Basic Food. By converting FP, he can fill the emptiness of a tile that results from tribes taking from it. This will result in an advanced recovery rate of the food that can be scavenged/foraged.
However, it is not an instant fix, and only works if that tile is diminished already. The number of tribe members that are his also affect how much FP needs to be converted, for they sway the balance by the weight of their own existence, minuscule as it is. Why this is escapes Thul however.

5/5 Replenish Basic Food: Action unlocked.
Restores a Tile's Basic Food. Only works if there is food to replenish. See Thul's spoiler for details.

Jaanin'Maldaraak Ponders. For whatever reason, he seems smug. 10/12

The West

The Tauri
2 Workers research Wooden Tools, completing the Tech. See Summary/Spoiler.
1 Worker begins research on Wooden Spears. It is expected to complete more quickly with knowledge of Wooden Tools.
1 Worker scavenges C3, finding 3 food.
1 Worker scavenges B3, finding 1 food.

Spiderlings
-6 Food.
1 worker dies of starvation. Another researches Wood Gathering. Bit late on both counts.
4 Workers scavenge B5. 8 Food is gathered. Thul notes that if they decide to scavenge that tile again next time, his new power would be useful, but not so if they simply let the land recover. However, none have worshiped, so it is a mute point.

The Zebra Commonwealth
-6 Food. No deaths occurred, leaving them at 0 Food.
2 Workers forge for food on C7, finding 5 food.
2 Workers forge for food on C6, finding 4 food.
2 Worker forge for food on B7, finding 5 food.

Summary
Wooden Tools require Labor and Wood to craft. As you only now started on Wood Gathering, you now have the ability to Scavenge for Wood. However, not all wood is actually useful, so don't expect much.
Also, this is a good point to note you opponents have noticed this facet, and it's not like one can't look at how the other side is doing.
There have been a lot of deaths on your side, but Zebra Commonwealth did well this turn at least.
You may also attempt to catch yourself some deer, though that is likely to be difficult barehanded.

The East

Zastarn Bonekin
5 workers chatter and dance to the glory of the old Amazon God. +5 FP!
The remaining two leave them to celebration to Forage the new land of F1, finding 3 food. Needless to say today was not the day.

Swampmen of Uudvurk
2 Workers forage the wetlands of G4, finding 4 food.
2 Workers forage the swamp of F4, finding 3 food.
1 Worker worships the mighty Traveler of Ruin. +1 FP

Extradimensionals
2 workers forage at F6, finding 7 Food.
2 workers forage at G6, finding 5 Food.
3 workers research Farming.
1 new worker is created.

Summary
Foraging tilts the favor a bit, but alone that is all it does. Still, better to have it than not. I'll note the Extradimensionals Luck is still going strong.

Thul, +0 FP from Tribes.
Jaanin'Maldaraak, +6 FP from Tribes

Spoiler: Thul's Western Tribes (click to show/hide)
