A turret is exploded by the heavy shell! This leads to cheering on one ship, and curses on the other.

(Also, Haspen, shouldn't my Ammo Magazine's Damcon be at 2/3?)

You incremented the wrong thing, Haspen; even if strictly speaking I would prefer the Main Battery fixed ASAP with one of my rapid firing guns out, I must argue this in the name of accuracy and fairness.

Aye. I probably took a fair bit more damage than necessary by maintaining quarter speed for so long. But guaranteed hits are tempting, you know? And a valiant effort. I still can launch a full salvo this turn though.

Fire Main Battery and 1 Secondary at the HMS Freedom, and put her out of her misery. Fire remaining Secondary at HMS Hammertime. Damage Control Secondary Battery (DC5). Bolster the Crew's Resolve, maintain Quarter Speed.

Hah. I was hoping for this, but I wasn't expecting it. And as such I don't have a potential ship drawn up.

But I'm feeling German Cruiser Spam. Who's with me? (Am I correct in assuming that the RN's 'Armored Cruisers cost 50% less resources' refers to the base cost of 24 resources only?)
Note I'm not 100% sold on this, can be argued to do something different. (Not that I can really control what you lot do, of course. Just announcing my intentions.)

Let's do something different.  Germans vs USA, perhaps?  Though the USA bonus is a bit boring, but very handy.

Too bad there's no Japanese fleet; they would take to the torpedo bonus nicely - maybe they could load 2 torpedo compartments as opposed to just 1?

Regardless of what we pick, I'm wanting to go with another superheavy dreadnought.  I know it hasn't worked out for literally anyone who's tried it, but I think I can make it work this time.

Also, how are Tertiary batteries working now? +1 to hit, or ignores enemy evasive maneuvers?

P.S. Haspen, are you using a program to help with the bookkeeping?
