13:39] Radio Controlled:
100 Omni Raise, Medkit automatically refills after every mission.
Didn't these type of things refill automatically after each mission already?
[13:39] Radio Controlled: I remember the tool kits refilling automatically, for example. Am I misremembering?
[14:07] ER 2 Duh 2: I don't think so
[14:07] ER 2 Duh 2: I thin you had to buy a new one
[14:32] Radio Controlled: I really don't remember it working like that, and the arsenal doesn't list any price for refills. But paying 200 bucks for 3 uses (not even use die, straight uses) seems out of whack compared to eg. ammo costs.
[14:34] ER 2 Duh 2: To be fair
[14:34] ER 2 Duh 2: These uses are on an advantage and there's only like
[14:34] ER 2 Duh 2: 3 healing items
[14:34] ER 2 Duh 2: Medkit
Advanced Medkit
Organothingie
[14:37] Radio Controlled: I might be misremembering things for sure. A quick check only found this:
http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=173094.msg7988540;topicseen#msg7988540Where I mentioned toolkit recharging in between missions and pw didn't deny it. But that is weak evidence at best.
[14:38] ER 2 Duh 2: Hmm
[14:38] ER 2 Duh 2: @Piecewise Yo
[14:38] Radio Controlled: It'd also mean that some classes have their main class item get 3 uses in total and that's it.
[14:38] ER 2 Duh 2: Med and toolkits recharge between missions or nah skelly man?
[14:41] Piecewise: Actually you're probably right. Let's change it to that instead he gets five charges per med kit instead of three
[14:42] ER 2 Duh 2: Nice
[14:43] Best Boi: I dunno, that's kind of a slippery slope. If toolkits refill for free then why not do the same for ammo or bombs?
[14:43] ER 2 Duh 2: Ammo is ammo
[14:44] ER 2 Duh 2: Tookits are tools
[14:44] Radio Controlled: Presumably because most ammo is dirt cheap compared to buying a whole toolkit every time? Or that you don;t actually 'use up' most of the tools in the kit compared to ammo?
[14:44] ER 2 Duh 2: Plus let's be honest you ain't getting free anti-tank rounds from OMITECH
[14:44] Best Boi: You could treat toolkits as guns and reload them with tools
[14:45] Radio Controlled: If PW wants to do it differently that is ok for me, but I just seemed to remember that toolkit and medkits and such refill between missions.
[14:45] Piecewise: If I'm remembering my own game rules correctly, which is not always the case, you get free refills on your base materials. So if you are class comes with a toolkit you get it refilled. If your promotion gives you a new gun you get free refill for that gun. Not for everything in your inventory just for the quote basic loadout
[14:45] Best Boi: Maybe the toolkits shoot spanners out of them
[14:45] Best Boi: Since Bob has proven that all mechanics do is whack things
[14:46] Radio Controlled: Oh, hmm. So if I buy a toolkit as a non-engineer, then my toolkits don't recharge but engineer toolkits do? I don't really remember this being a rule tbh, but again, maybe I just never knew how it worked :v
[14:46] Piecewise: I'll check but I think that's how it's set up
[14:47] Piecewise: It might say so in the op
[14:47] Radio Controlled: and if an engineer buys additional toolkits, do those recharge?
[14:47] Piecewise: Nah just the one he has from his class
[14:47] Radio Controlled: Been looking for it but haven't found anything yet.
[14:47] Piecewise: I'm about to take a shower so give me a minute
[14:47] Radio Controlled: And does this also go then for ammo?
[15:28] Piecewise: So I checked and can't find anywhere where I put down rules for Kits being automatically refilled or not, nor for base equipment being refilled or replaced.
[17:23] Radio Controlled: So, what did you decide on in the end? Did you edit the OP?
[17:23] Piecewise: considering
[17:29] Piecewise: Think I might just refill "Kits" and leave weapons alone
