My attempt to keep the ent theme but fix the biggest weakness they might have.
Someone PLEASE come up with a better name.

Crusta Ents
Crusta ents are essentially the same as redwood ents, but for one major difference. If necessary, they can shed their outer bark layer. When the inner layer is exposed to air, it will rapidly harden and become the new outer layer, causing a new inner layer to grow. This functions as a defense against barbed weapons that could be used to pull the ent over, and if it was somehow put on fire, the shedding of the outer bark would snuff any extant flames. This also makes it far more difficult for enemies to climb the ent as they can become buried in a cascade of dense iron like bark.

Hmmm for a name, I think that something like, Barkfall ent?
Shellshedder Ent?
Autumn's fury Ents?
Ents of Wild growth?

I'm not the best at names. I like them, but I think I prefer my solution to the fire problem so I'll stick to Redwood ents.

I feel like the redwood ents don't have any real defense against a fire that can actually catch and burn. They just are incredibly hard to light in the first place. But this is darkness we are fighting, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have supernatural fire.

I thought Redwood Ents had an anti-fire coating or some such. My Ents (Taurgorn) are the ones with the magically hardened bark that basically won't (well, shouldn't. A wizard did EVERYTHING IN THIS GAME, after all. So all bets are off) catch fire.

The redwood ents just have dense bark and a watery second layer. Personally I think ents that can rapidly regrow limbs would be pretty handy.

We can do that by making better rods of growth, mass heal or items imbued with regeneration. we already have plenty of healing options for ents.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

Improved Sgiath Wings: To increase the strength of leaflike wings and put less strain on the muscles of the Sgiath, branches of woodlike bone are added to the leaves, providing more structure to the thin Wings. This branch-like structures in the wings ensure that the wings are stronger, reducing the amount of tearing that an injury can cause. These hard structures in the wing also ensure that the elves will need to put less effort into catching the wind, increasing the amount of time they can fly before they become tired.

I'm pretty sure this is what Nuke and glass were voting for sooo. Ya, just in case of any confusion and so the GM knows which one in particular.

EDIT: Nuke and glass said they were fine with this one so I'll just change the vote box.

A Simple flaw, Corrected with a small change, (10) And fixed quite well too, the new elves will be far stronger then the previous version.
