First Tournament


This is what I have for the tournament. I'll assign costs to some cards so that you all can buy some extra cards so no one is disadvantaged in any particular arena.

The tournament idea has been tabled until further notice.

But... I am already up against Oceansoul. And we might even have a resolution for that match next turn. Also we both already posted our actions for it. (Or at least I think so. I didn't actually look in Ocean's spoiler, so I cannot say with certainty that he made an actual action. It says "action" as the spoiler title which leads me to believe that's the post.)

Match Two:

You slither slowly forward, your tentacles dragging your heavy body along. You don't make it very far however as a knight wielding a torch and small mace sprint directly at you! You thrash at its head with your tentacles, which are more like clubs due to their armor plating. You manage to land a solid shot to the head, but most of the damage is blocked by the enemy's helmet. Meanwhile the knight stabs your wings repeatedly with his torch, the fire burning one of your few unarmored areas!You take 100 damage from severe burns.

You grab a nearby torch and charge forward into the gloom, directly at the monstrosity before you. It's devilish form dim in the darkness is brought to clarity under your torchlight. It is vile, and you waste no time in driving the flaming piece of wood into the monster's fleshy wings. The beast sheiks with pain and lands a powerful blow to your head with its armor plated tentacles! Luckily you have your knightly armor to protect you from some of the damage, still you take 50 damage from the hit.

Yes, I was just going to count these first two matches as part of the tournament. If that is unsatisfactory to you all, we can switch opponents and do separate tournament matches.

Honestly I am not sure I even want to be in a tournament. I am under the impression that I can only fight against one person at a time so I don't want to have to go inactive to wait for a specific opponent to be available. (Might be irrelevant if I lose the first match though).

Match One:

The wounded enemy takes a long pillar shard and plunges it into the ground, perhaps attempting to polevault at you. This sends them flying through the air at you, which was their greatest mistake. Their broken leg makes the maneuver clunky, and as it was already a feat to begin with, it is not the most graceful of flights. You cannot dodge while on the ground, but your take off is swift. While in the air you have the advantage and the poor humanoid can do nothing to dodge or maneuver. It is a simple matter to beat your wings, leave the ground, line up your crushing beak and pluck the tasty meal from the air. The wounded enemy is crushed to death in your powerful maw!

In a last ditch effort to close the gap between yourself and the birdopus, you take the longest pillar shard you can grab, plunge it into the ground, and pole vault yourself at the enemy. An interesting maneuver, made difficult by your broken leg and inability to get a running start. But through sheer strength, you propel yourself through the air at the giant octobird. It is in this moment that your realize your mistake. The bird's sharp eyes lock onto you and it propels itself off the ground. It flies above you, and you are unable to alter your trajectory. You never make it to the ground as tentacles and a hidden octopus beak descend from above and snatch you from the air, crushing and devouring you to satiate its monstrous hunger. You have been defeated.

You all were supposed to be betting cards, but I totally forgot about that. Soooo I'm just going to change the reward system a bit and remove the card betting mechanic. Oceansoul gains 15 PP  and Supernerd gains 5 (to be redeemed later when I open the card shop).

The annoying human stops trying to burn you and goes to hitting you on the head with a mace and torch. The knight would have made an excellent drummer in a different life. You take 50 damage before you can snatch him up and slam him onto the ground in front of you. The impact from the blow seems to do decent damage to the knight.

Torch? Mace? Why not both! You attack the monster head on and wait on its head with your holy wrath. The creature seems to have armor plating made of bones, and the torch isn't very useful against the hard plates. The mace however does wonderfully, it seems as though the creature's armor acts like a skull and you feel as though your giving it's internals a good whalloping. That is until the creature grabs you and slams you into the ground for 100 damage! It's strong, but luckily your armor prevents you from being easily crushed.
