You send them a letter asking them to get back into your fold, or else.
5*
You get wholesome results out of those letters. Apparently some younger officers decided that you're better person to stick with, and challenged their superiors who sided with the rebel. A fierce fight over the garrison ensued and there has been several hundred casualties, but the loyal youth triumphed in the end, capturing or killing many of important rebel figureheads. THen they surrendered to your arriving officers who treated them properly.
1121, End of the Year
This tumultous year has finally come to an end. You ponder what the numbers will be, while your wife knits some tunics for your little band of princes loitering around. The Advisor arrives, and, after skillfully evading the ever-present babbies, presents you the Scrolls of Kingdom Status.
Happiness: 3
Population: 8
Economy: 2
Army: 3
You sigh. One day. One day those low numbers will be gone. You swear it on your mum.
1121, Summer
Splendid news has arrived from the east; the prospectors have found ores of iron, copper and zinc in the mountains! While there's no abundance of any of these, mining those metals would still be profitable. Perhaps it has been one of the reasons for Zasitost's existence, although their underground mines are out of your reach of course.
The prospectors and the newly settled populace of course lack funds to begin digging of the mines on their own, and therefore a petition for funds from the Crown has arrived along the report.
A) Of course we will sponsor the mines! Never there has been any gains without prior investment.
B) That sounds lovely but we're currently tight on almost everything, so no sponsorship for you guys.
