((You have a russian wearing sunglasses. Or at least, he's standing next to you and looks to be awaiting orders.))

Sigh...I never had much of a chance. All I got was a bunch of knives with a radio, and I was caught in close contained quarters by a guy with a shield, of all things. Waitlist A me.

Work on a potential forum game for my return to Bay12. Figure out parts that puzzled me before. Find more things to figure out that I can't. Work on another game instead of solving them. Get distracted and stop working. Remember it a week or two later. Remember I'm still on hiatus. Illogically, Be too ashamed to return yet. Repeat ad nauseam.

Finally have a game completely ready. Wait a week before posting it out of laziness.

Turn 13: Every Time You Get A 1, It Warms My Heart

INIT:
Glass/Ash Hong(61)
DoctorMcTaalik/DrM(53)
Yottawhat/Curtis(38)
Mallos/Ckaeyod(62-20=42)
NAV/Dave Blade(34)
PaPaj/Pondy(52)

And then everything happened almost at once.

Ash Hong continued his medical efforts.

Use it.

Also, stop being tired and fix my chest.

((So tempted to roll for injection... nah.))

Ash Hong injected himself with the syringe, which faded away after he did so. He noticed, then, that his wounds vanished entirely... but it came with a price, based on the note in his hand.

"Dear Mr. Hong. Use-It-Or-Lose-It is a proprietary drug that heals all wounds instantly, but also acts as a deadly poison. Don't worry! The poison is fairly delayed. You won't die until [7 turns] have passed, definitely long enough to kill somebody and throw one of their loot items into the pit, healing yourself of the poison. You won't even experience any symptoms before your death! P.S.: Do try to figure out every side of what your loot does. I wouldn't want it to go to waste."

((You got a 6 on the prayer roll. Succeed, but with consequences.))

At roughly the same time, DrM continued his attack.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Leg Strikes, Many!(6) vs. Roll!(4-1-1=2)

DrM's strike connected with force, though it was leading to him becoming unbalanced...

Force!(2) vs. Resist!(2)

If the kick had any force behind it, it might have done something to the area where it connected with Ckaeyod. Maybe the fight was tiring DrM out.

Consequences!(4)

DrM corrected, for the most part, his unbalance, though it still showed in his posture when Ckaeyod acted. ((If the difference between your INIT scores was much higher, it wouldn't do anything at all.))

At basically the same time as that, Pondy decided that he needed a weapon.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Snatch Steal!(6) vs. Not The Kukri!(6-1-1=4)

There was a rather nice looking kukri in the hands of the guy lying down who was tangled with a dinosaur. Pondy dashed over to the guy, coordinating his attack with DrM, then yanked the kukri out of Ckaeyod's hands... and cut his hand up in the process, basically ruining it. At least he had a weapon now.

Shank!(1) vs. Not The Kukri!(3-1-1=1)

Apparently, it was possible to botch striking a tangled prone target.

Ckaeyod screamed in anger as his kukri was taken from him.

Spoiler: GM Only (click to show/hide)

So what if he didn't have a knife! He had his bare hands!

Strength!(1)

But he was so tired... the dinosaur kept weighing him down... so close to getting it off him! Argh!

Meanwhile, Curtis was on fire.

Stop, drop, and roll to put out the fire.

The Practical Option!(1)

Curtis realized that stopping, dropping, and rolling could break his precious shield and wooden radio box, which he clutched tight to himself.

Doesn't Wood Burn, Shield?!(1)

His precious shield promptly disintegrated from the fire. There was still the gem in the center of it intact, which would probably count as loot for the pit, but everything else was gone.

Doesn't Wood Burn, Box?!(6)

The radio box promptly started playing punk rock. Infernal metal, the band was called.

Doesn't Flesh Burn, Curtis?!(Disadvantage: 5, 3 = 3-1=2)

Curtis' flesh could have gotten burned worse, but not by much.

Dave Blade, the master of fire, smiled as he heard Curtis' screaming.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Magic!(It Doesn't Work That Way)

For some reason, Dave Blade's speed power wasn't cooperating. On the other hand, nobody else was trying to get the scroll, so Dave Blade grabbed it easily.

There are two things I want to do this turn.
Thing 1: figure out what my powers are.
Thing 2: go into the forest and surrender myself in body and soul to the dryad in exchange for being cured of the poison.

Turn 14: Meditation and Failed Annihilation

INIT:
Glass/Ash Hong(69)
DoctorMcTaalik/DrM(20)
Yottawhat/Curtis(19)
Mallos/Ckaeyod(68-20=48)
NAV/Dave Blade(70)
PaPaj/Pondy(32)
The Russian With Sunglasses(37)

Dave Blade ran into action.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Incindeo!(2)

Dave Blade ran over to the pit, intent on unleashing another firestorm... then swallowed some smoke. It could have been worse.

At basically the same time, Ash Hong sought a peaceful solution.

There are two things I want to do this turn.
Thing 1: figure out what my powers are.
Thing 2: go into the forest and surrender myself in body and soul to the dryad in exchange for being cured of the poison.

Enlightenment!(1)

Ash Hong sat down and focused on their powers. Legs crossed... mind focused... meditation began.

Epic Fail!(1)

Ash Hong saw. Like quantum particles, the very act of viewing changed what he saw. Stability became instability. But the details were known only to him.

Ckaeyod's rage gave them strength.

Spoiler: GM ONLY (click to show/hide)
Ckaeyod didn't try to stand, preventing the dinosaur from preventing them from acting. He didn't need to stand. He would fight regardless.

Pondy and his minion, the Sunglasses Russian didn't much care about Ckaeyod's determination.

Quote from: Russian
Za! Punch the helpless mann!
Spoiler: GM ONLY (click to show/hide)

The Russian started.

Downwards Punch!(2) vs. Roll!(4-1-1=2)

The downwards punch barely missed as Ckaeyod rolled out of the way.

Counterattack!(5) vs. Not The Jewels!(3)

Ckaeyod countered with a kick from below, the Russian's attempt at punching instead of kicking a man on the ground having left him vulnerable.

Crushing Jewels!(4) vs. AAAAGH!(3)

Truly, even the slightest strike to the groin could cause agony in a man. The Russian was spared for the most part only by the fact that Ckaeyod was tired and weighed down by a dinosaur. That said, the Russian was much more hesitant to attack again, for fear of the most painful kick there was.

Shank!(3) vs. Roll!(5-1-1=3)

Much the same occurred with Pondy, as his downwards dagger strike missed.

Counterattack!(6) vs. Dodge!(2)

Rage Fueled Kick Upwards!(2) vs. Resist!(6)

Ckaeyod realized that the dinosaur had gotten tangled in his legs at about the same time Pondy realized...

Downsides of a Six!(4)

That he was just a bit dizzy from Ckaeyod's kick barely touching a pressure point.

DrM had a different target in mind.

Spoiler: DrM (click to show/hide)

Fist and Grab!(1) vs. No Way!(1-1=0)

Fail!(2) with Fail!(5-1=4)

DrM realized that he was feinting about the same time Pondy did. On the other hand, now DrM was right in front of Pondy who was holding a knife threateningly...

((it was a question of seeing who failed the most and least here. The sheer fail involved here...))

Curtis was burning with anger, on the other hand.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Resist!(Yes!)

Curtis didn't seem to notice the pain. If he had, it might have been painful.

Retaliation!(3) vs. Dodge!(4)

A throwing knife flew through the air. A weak dodge was all that was needed to make it miss.

Burning Man!(3-2=1)

The flames, though unfelt, still burned. Curtis felt death approach with each beat of his heart.

Burning Box!(3)

The wooden radio box finally began to burn, soon it would cease playing forever, carrying with it the last memory of Blue.
