I think we should save the espionage credit until we can use it for maximum effect. Like triggering a Juraki uprising at the same time as we launch an invasion of mainland Cannala. Although, since they went for the housing project over the Red Rot cure, a Juraki uprising would probably be less potent. But there are other ways of using an espionage credit to help an invasion. Leak false info about where we intend to invade, sort of thing.

If we break their alliance, they lose the resource bonus while we retain ours, plus they don't get any further alliance bonuses. We can then jump over and pick up the Americans as our own allies before our buddies lose the war.

I am inclined to steal (Schematics for?) a Victoria with the espionage. It'd be good for a lot of naval catch-up...

Ana-G.A.P.-1941-D.F.A. Kriegblitz antimateriel rifle
This is a 20mm rifle designed to pierce light armour and ignore cover with extreme accuracy. Integrated scope, three-round clip, single-shot, bolt-operated, long barrel, recoil-suspension, penetrator-core, long round... A range of at least one-thousand and five-hundred metres and enough kick to go through a salamander's wall at closer range.

The Cans build shoddy overgunned garbage with obvious weaknesses. Give our troops a weapon capable of shooting through trees and punching through light armour to put holes through cans no matter where they hide.

UFAF-A41 "Turbohaast"
A dedicated ground-attack aircraft, the Turbohaast builds upon our previous ground-attacker, the F39 Haast. It features two turbofan engines mounted in nacelles above and toward the rear of the aluminium fuselage, reducing debris ingestion. The turbofans have a moderate bypass ratio and offer a greater fuel efficiency than pure turbojets, enabling the Turbohaast to loiter on the battlefield. Each is more powerful than the original V12 piston engine, allowing the plane to fly on one engine if it is not carrying a load, and giving it a two tonne bomb load otherwise. The other major improvement is a centreline-mounted 30mm APIB autocannon, capable of firing at 750 RPM. Other armament is four UF-AC-41 autocannons, mounted two per wing.

Other miscellaneous changes are a straight-edge, low-mounted, high aspect-ratio wing with large control surfaces, giving it large amounts of lift and superior low speed manoeuvrability. Foldable wings, inherited from the Haast, make it smaller for carrier storage and deployment, and it should be able to take off from a Zheleznogorod carrier. The manganese bathtub cockpit protection and self sealing fuel tanks of the Haast are also kept on, and much of the ventral surface of the plane incorporates armour. With experience from the MTA and the Haast, the Turbohaast should be able to withstand large amounts of damage from ground fire and still remain airborne.



Upgraded the centreline autocannon specs slightly, given that we've just made improvements to our autocannons.

Friendly reminder that the Bull will go down to Expensive next turn, no matter whether the Cannalans pick Ore or Oil. And if they pick Ore, the Armadillo-Daybreaker and M2A2 Mobile Assault Gun also go down to Cheap. And it also helps to kill Twinblades, though not sure if our forces need any help there.

Plus, Turbohaast sets up more fuel-efficient turbofan engines for Future Jet, in case we want to go down that route in the future.

Sensei has said that we're now only losing out design-wise at sea because of the Victoria. We should use the Espionage Credit to steal the Victoria blueprints and field our own. Then we will have a slight advantage in the air and a slight disadvantage at sea. We can then spend our design and revision actions on things to take back the jungle.

With the extra ore we got from Hitler, taking back the Jungle isn't a priority anymore.

Thus, I would suggest we start thinking about pushing towards the Tundra

More to the point the extra ore the germans are offering would bring us the advantage of having cheap jet fighters and cheaper carriers and cruisers. Timely offering herr hitler :P

That being said, we need something to help in the jungle.

Whatever we design, I think we should revise this:

UF-PAR-41 'Trustfall': Our parachutes are old and ineffective. Time for an upgrade. The Trustfall series consists of both cargo and personnel parachutes, made from modern materials, designed by Forenia's top aerodynamics experts for optimum performance. The cargo varieties are designed to carry heavy payloads of up to several tonnes, with the possibility of multiple parachutes being used to allow even vehicles like the Salamander to be airdropped. The personnel varieties have also had their weight limit increased, but perhaps more importantly, modifications to the canopy and lines give the user a limited ability to manoeuvre during their descent, enabling paratroopers to land far more precisely and safely.

This would let us use the Ice Giant and Reckless Effect more effectively. See the note in the battle report about paratroopers lacking anti-armour equipment- this would fix that. And it is a necessary step if we want to launch large-scale aerial invasions.

UF-ERA-41 "Blood Eagle"

This explosive reactive armor consists of 2 metal plates, with a layer of high explosive in between. The explosive layer is divided in many different sections, ensuring a single detonation does not detonate all other sections. When hit by a Heat projectile, the Explosive reactive armor disrupts the jet, rendering the weapon ineffective.  When hit by a kinetic penetrator, the explosion shatters the prnetrating projectile snd grwatly reduces penetration.

...yeah, you know what, I'd be down for Blood Eagle. It's very silly Forenian, but it could actually make our armour substantially more effective.

Although I'd also be fine with the Turbohaast.
