[Insert Kol saying 'I told you!'] :P

Anyway, dunno if my vote as a secondary character counts for much, but B, more loot means more wealth. It's unlikely we'll get more warriors barring the leidangr expanding though. On that note is seems odd we have to give a third of our pay to a thane, given it's the jarl who's actually our boss (The thane is just a full-time warrior)

"Well, I wish you the best of luck filling this hold!"  Thane Evasion says with a chuckle. The ship will take a while yet to complete.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Rolls just take the highest number into account, I was just saying that if either one of you had decided not to spend fate, someone's head would have gotten chopped  :P.

Ehh, kinda hesitant about directing their actions when its not vital. They were just carousing around with their men and chatting with some of the important people. Not enough for a bonus or anything, but Fromund and Sihylde had a fine, if hazy, evening.

The 3.5 coins are after paying the men the half coin during the feast, so no worries there. So up to you all how to handle it. My two suggestions are:
A. Divide up the remaining plunder among yourself equally
B. Keep it all in a "communal pot"
C. Or some mix of the two

Good question! Thane Evarson' Sea Wolves are more like a mercenary company, in that they don't really hold fealty to a specific Jarl. Evarson's father was a Jarl, but his land was lost to the beast men horde, and so Evarson is using the Sea Wolves to try to regain position, and have his revenge.

C.  We  all get a share, but the rest is kept in a "company storing",  to spend on  repairs, ransom costs, etc.

Also, you have 3.5 coins in liquid capital, and another( Hmm 9 monks X 2= 18 coins and 8 villagers= 8 coins) 26 coins in captives, who will you need to trade to someone to get those coins. Someone asked about armor, and you can buy enhanced weapons that grant bonuses to effects in fighting, and armor that will resist one blow for you. Each costs one coin. You can also hire more warriors if you want, but your Thane will likely provide you with some.
Sihylde asked about armor. We've an AWESOME 29.5 coin bonus, however not enough to give our men a full 1 coin pay--maybe leaving that for later after the next raid/battle.

. . .So that's 2 coins (one weapon/armor) per person = 12 coins, counting secondaries. :3 14 coins left over.
Further proposal--adding in a 4 coin payment for Sihylde and Fromund's seconds! Just in case :3 So 10 coins left over?

Wait how are we getting revenge when we're raiding the...south?
We must update ourselves on the beast men!

Where did you get that idea? :P
I'm saving some coins for our folks! I mean we can split that nice amount of coins between armor and weapons, and instead of giving a bit more coin (in this early stage), get some customized armor and weapon for the warrior who fights best and well, alongside encouragement anyway to those who don't.

I asked about armour with the idea that i'd get some kind of armoured trait.
Any way i'll take the Juggernaut trait.
Ship choice C
Party cash C

The idea of ship intrigued Silhyde but there is one clear path,
Any ship must be large for it's strength is in it's hold be it full of cargo to trade or warriors.

Silhyde was home and all was well, that meant that it was time for her to pay tribute to Crom.
Inside the hall stood the vast idol of corm, caved from white oak and stained with blood sacrificed to him.
Her hammer still encrusted blood, she set it before him and took up the ritual knife of silver.
From her arm she filled the skull chalice with her own life, brimming it with her blood.
She lifted the skull chalice up on high before casting it on the idol.

With the tribute paid Silhyde left his hall and headed to the traders for iron and steel.
The raid a bought Silhyde wealth and a revelation of the danger, an arrow had come far too close to wounding her.
It must not happen again if she could help it.
For her money she bought a pair of bracers made from of splinted iron and leather.

(All right, we need a berserker or we ain't vikings. Therefore I'm taking it on myself. :P Einar will pick up the Berserker trait for 10 EXP, leaving him with 5. Also I'm fine with C/previous suggestions for cash.)

Einar stood alone at the docks; Jora, Kol, and Skjaere were probably seeing about the monks, and he didn't know where Silhyde and Fromund were at, though it was likely they were enjoying a bit of shore leave with the rest of the Wolves. Even if he knew where they were he wanted to be on his own to think. He wasn't the smartest of the raiders; that would be either his sister or her second. He wasn't the most ferocious; that was clearly Silhyde. What he tried to be was the most stalwart, the most dependable. The shield that stayed the blades against them, the hand that pulled the raiders to their feet when they needed it.

Perhaps he was that, but it didn't gain him the respect he needed to act as a captain. That much was obvious from how the second raid had gone, when he had taken over. He needed to inspire confidence in the other raiders, maybe even fear. He needed them to know he wasn't just the reliable one; he could be the fiercest damned one of them when they needed him to be. And for that, there was a veteran in Freysakr he needed to see. A man they called Boğdır, though that wasn't his name. Truth be told, the man's reputation was such that Einar was a little daunted at the prospect of paying a call on him... but if he couldn't face an old warrior in a time of peace, he had no place facing an enemy on the battlefield.

The young raider steeled himself and headed into town to find this Boğdır, and to learn from him what had earned him such a title...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Did you mean B, the looting ship? Also awesome description! Do the raiders under you also follow Crom? Okay, so buying this armor is kinda like a trait, you can use it to resist an injury for free.

Sihylde goes to the market, browsing for a pair of bracers. Her heavy bag of coins bounced against her leg. Made of silver and copper pieces, it was about an Imperial Coin's worth, but only the wealthiest of southern nobles and merchants from the Empire used those. She passed Hedrick, one of the best blacksmiths in town. She stopped by his stop, and was immediately taken with a pair of steel bracers, intricately engraved with runes of of protection. She smiled, and set the purse on the counter.

Sihylde gains Armor, and Juggernaught for 10 exp

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Aww yeah!

Einar found Boğdır at the roughest tavern in town. It was where some of the most wretched of men came to get lost in their sorrows, and others to crack a few skulls without judged. Einar nodded to a few of his warriors as he entered the tavern.

There was a fight taking place already. Two large men slugged it out, and one good punch sent one sprawling onto a table, knocking it over. The man rose to his feet, and they prepared to fight some more. Then a man stood up behind them. He was thick and wide, and scars criss-crossed his body. His hands were large, and reminded Einar of oar blades. His face was stern, and he glowered at the men. He cracked his knuckles. "You spilled my ale."
One of the men spit at him. Before the spit touched the ground, Boğdır's fist found the man's stomach, and the next blow resounded like a crack and sent the man flying back. The other fighter threw a punch at the grizzled veteran, but his fist was caught by the old man. He squeezed until the fighter cried out, then threw him to the ground and wailed on the poor guy's face until it was unrecognizable.

Einar almost walked out right there. But he stayed, and bought Boğdır another drink. in truth, he wasn't such a bad man once you got a few good ales in him, and the veteran was interested in his story. He offered to teach the young captain a thing or two, and how to give yourself to the battle spirit.

Einar gains Berserker trait (Like after a month of training, not just from talking  :P)

So I'm thinking I'll see about giving out the Sea Wolves next task tonight, so you have until tomorrow when the company actually departs to make a purchase or spend or experience. Unless you would rather stay in town for a few more IRL life days.
