((So just that it's settled, here are what I guess are the exp ties:
> Kol (Taricus) + Fromund (Lorknis)
> Mardent and me :3))

Jora wondered if they were facing warriors more apt like they were and voiced her concerns.

"It's my forgetfulness happening again but I think our advantage is with tactics. Beastmen don't necessarily rely on what they can do better in brute force. At least I'm assuming that from the hole in the wall. Um, and that's me saying yes, I agree. We also need to help these men out. Just a small force for hunting it, maybe?"

I guess we're doing A?

"Agreed.  Where does the outpost keep its boar spears? Are there any dogs present?"  C. (Basically A, but Skjære takes the time to gear his group up with hunting equipment. He fits the archers  with broadheads(assuming they wern't using them already), and   equips the spearmen with boar spears (if  no such spears are present, he commissions some of the outpost residents to make crossguards for the spears.) If there are any dogs present, Skjære brings them as well.

"Then it's settled. Let's put this creature down and earn ourselves some glory." Einar grinned at the thought.

They are known for their ambushes and sudden fierce attacks. Formations and technology are the edges that the Nords possessed over the beast men in the past.

Hmm well the outpost doesn't have much in the way of hunting equipment, though there are a few boar spears. There is one or two dogs running around, though you doubt that they are trained as hunters. Of course, you did spy that hunting dog back in Freysakr... (You have 2 inventory slots open, if you want you can use one of those slots and 1 coin to have a hunting dog).

Yes! It's a mastiff, by the name of Fenris. Also, how is our group looking, equipment wise? In terms of beastmen, how large would you say the average one is? I was working under the assumption that they would be more "beast" than "man", hence the boar spears.

The Sea Wolves assemble a hunting party of 15 warriors. Skjære finds some boar spears and passes them out to a few warriors. He takes the lead with his hunting dog. The island is a small one, but has a forest in the center of it in which the Cimbri and the beast have fled into. The group comes to the edge, and easily spot the path the raging beast has taken, marked by broken trees and trampled brush. The party pauses on the edge of the wood. IT would take a thing of immense strength to knock down these trees. Einar bangs his axe on his shield, “Let us earn some glory!”

Following the hunting dog, the party follows the trail made by the beast deeper and deeper into the woods. The dog starts barking furiously, and then stops and growls. Leaning against a tree in front of them is a wounded man, wearing furs and dark paint across his face. He is wounded, an arrow through his side. Jóra and the rest of the hunting party move forward to talk to him, but Kol suddenly grabs her arm.

“Stop! It’s a trap! Ready yourselves!”

The hunting party shifts into a defensive position as the wounded Cimbri cries out in anger and alarm. The hunting
dog begins to bark furiously, and as they look over a dark, monstrous shape emerges. It bellows and charges into the middle of the hunting party. One warrior sticks in the side with his spear before being swatted away with a swing of it’s monstrous and cruel ax. Another warrior, one of Jóra’s archers, is gored by the beast’s horns and screams as she is tossed into the air. A few Cimbri warriors also charge out of the woods, brandishing crude weapons as they begin their assault.

Resolve check, +1
Jóra:3,2,1 (Terrified, will attempt to flee Resist for -1 fate) (Skjære is also affected)
Einar: 6,1,2,1 (Inspiring presence, will remove everyone’s negative morale for -1 fate)
Kol:2,1,1 (Terrified, will attempt to flee Resist for -1 fate)
Sihylde: 4,3 ( Frightened, -1 next roll)

The minotaur is in the midst of your party, a few Cimbri warriors are also charging. What do you do?

Spend that fate, hold against the Cimbri warriors. Try to cut them down and avoid the minotaur until they're all dead, then focus on the monster.

"Everyone! Rally to me!" Einar called out, raising his shield and drawing his axe. "Avoid the minotaur, kill the Cimbri first and then focus on the monster!"

Okay, that could have gone better.  "Spears in front! Boar spears first! Archers to the trees! Axes, to the archers!"  To Fenris,  Skjære points to the Minoutar, and screams "Bay!" in Southerland.  Coming  from a breed of Southern Hounds,   Fenris knows basic hunting commands. However,   during the months in Freyskar, Fenris modified the command to harass human targets (with the animal targets being reserved for, 'Harry.")

(You're a protag, Tar. You can fight the minotaur if you want, you're not necessarily tied to my action right now. :P

just remember you would've ran if your son wasn't a badass and didn't afraid of anything :v)

I will attack the men.

Men wise i'll have ten with two handed hammers or axes and five with shields and spears to bulk up my own squard.

Resist (I have 3/5 fate left!)

NOOOOO D:

Take care on shooting the Minotaur since everyone looks busy defending me and the rest of my 3 others u_u

Doling out healing was first on Jora's mind, until she noticed that everyone was in for a ton of pain unless the attackers were taken care of.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

The minotaur bellows and charges towards the middle of your hunting party. Jóra, her bow ready and prepared by her father’s warning, quickly snapped a shot off at the charging beast. The arrow buried itself in its shoulder, making the brute cry out in pain, and stopping it from charging into the group. Due to Jóra resisting.
The hunting party pauses at the sight of the beast. As tall as two men, and grotesquely muscular, it carries a large and crude axe. The party begins to feel fear grip their hearts. Einar steps forward, and calls out!

“Everyone! Rally to me!” In the face of a monstrous foe he stepped out bravely, and brought courage to the weakening knees. The warriors would not see their commander face this brute alone!

The minotaur, blinded by pain, focuses his wrath on the one who stepped out against him. It charges forward, and brings an ax down that would have split Einar in two. But Einar dashed towards the beast, and while moving past, swings his axe into the hamstrings of the brute. It collapses onto one knee, and bellows out in challenge. It prepares to swing its ax, but Kol lunges in and buries his sword in its arm. The minotaur tries to swat Kol away, but Fenris the hunting dog leaps up and tears into its side. This distraction gives time for Kol to pull away, but the dog is tossed off by the beast. Fenris lands several feet away, but gets up, looking unharmed.

The beast begins to thrash around, the horns on its head splintering shields, but the other men back away before getting gored. A volley of arrows arrives from Jóra and her archers, 5 slamming into its chest, and stunning it briefly while Einar charges into its back and knocks it on the ground. Before it can rise again he swings his ax into its neck once, twice and three times and then it finally lies still in a pool of its own blood.

They remember the Cimbri and look over, weapons raised, only to see Sihylde and a few of her warriors standing around 7 bloody, barely recognizable corpses. She gives back a cheery wave.
Spoiler: Critical (click to show/hide)

Only one Cimbri remains alive, the one leaning against the tree, but he is fading quickly.

The hunting party brings him back to the outpost, along with the beast’s head. Rodrick and the other warriors cheer at the sight.

“You have done a mighty feat this day! Not many men can say they have bested a minotaur in combat!” Rodrick exclaims. Kol is seen beaming brightly behind him.

Talk soon turns to the remainder of the Sea Wolves mission, destroying the beast men encampment. Rodrick offers his best scout to come with them and guide them to the camp. It is on the shore, and had two barges there, though Rodrick believes that one of those barges may be the one crashed up against the docks.  He warns you to be careful, and that surprise and causing fear in the enemy will be your greatest weapon. He also tells you if things go poorly that you can seek shelter here. The encampment it only an hour or two away by ship, so he advises you to rest for a few hours, and depart when you think best to attack.

What is your plan on attacking the encampment?
