We come to answer the letter and yes we kow what it is that causes your mountain into rage; it is the foul magics of the lizardmen, who are attempting to burrow into outside world. We can solve this problem for a small amount of gold from your Treasury, as it is of interest of us to keep the underground lizards underground forever."

A) That is fine, the dwarves get some gold and we get some peace of mind.

Small amount because they DIDN'T do their job and they're now asking for more. They're plying their trade VERY subtly.

So every 9-10 years  we will have to pay money again to deal with the lizards? And these "savage critters" now deal with magic?

Someone can create a tunnel FOR the lizardman directing them to the kiwi/chevak lands? Or the dwarves, that will be a better spend money.

B If things get messy we can call the dwarves again, or whatever. Maybe without the magic they will be coming back every 2-3 years. and it would be bad to deal with them and our neighboors  at the same time.

By the way, i just realized now.

The Calvodocians teached their secret weapon to Chevak and now Chevak must be using it against them.

The last of soldiers borrowed for King Tinwulf II return triumphiantly after the final confrontation with the trolls; another 280 of the beasts were killed there and few fled eastwards, pursued by hunting parties of Dahnian elite horsemen. King Tinwulf II has been thus hailed as 'Trollslayer' by his soldiers, people, and others.

Meanwhile, the mountains in northwest continue to fume, albeit the whole phenomena died out a little bit, and no avalanches of large size were reported lately.

Also, your courtiers come to a decision that while the late Queen Stela cannot be forgotten easily, nonetheless the Duchy should have a Duke and a Duchess as royal representative.

They ask you to re-marry. You decide to...

A) Ask them to reconsider before you will marry them to some damp dungeon cells in return.
B) Let them find you some candidates for your new wife.
C) Tell them that you will do that in few years as your heart is still heavy.
