Just so you know, you also need to make another avatar, if your teenager dies you can't use Rochelle anymore. Or at least, that's what I got from the rules.

That's true, but for now I understand that people are posting future placeholder characters, so even if they post only one half of a whole sheet that's fine.

Lana and Jimmy continue to stand watch outside, guarding against nothing else but the rustling of leaves, for now.

Jack looks in the lodge's bathrooms to see if there are any medicine cabinets. Turns out there's only one bathroom at the end of the hall, and its a cramped space inside. It does contain a medicine cabinet behind the sink mirror, though there's little except for a mostly empty container of painkillers, a few loose pills rolling around in the bottom.

Terrence goes through the three rooms searching for more supplies in anything else that would be of use. The first room is completely ransacked and empty. The second room appears to be in the same shape besides the consumables on the floor that June is scooping up. That is, until Terrence is opening the desk drawers and towards the bottom he spots the barrel of a flare gun. Before he can grab it, Terrance yelps and jumps back a few feet when he discovers that a severed human hand is still clutching the handle of the gun.

Briefs goes to try his hand at the safe. Inspecting it further, it looks like the safe doesn't have any numerical system, electronic or dial based, like you would expect on a normal lockbox. The only mechanism in the front is an unmarked black cube, which Brief observes more closely. Briefs puts his hand on it, and then instinctively pulls it back as an uncomfortable sensation shots through his lower arm. It's not exactly painful, more like a concentrated static shock. Briefs quickly deduces that the safe is electrified.

June grabs a couple of beer bottles and sandwiches and that's about all she can have heft without dropping anything due to capacity. Maybe some other people could help her out? She also notices Terrence rummaging through the drawers in the same room and then screaming about something.

The Scourge laughs in an unsettling manner before launching two of its tentacles across the room at the Berserker. [7 vs. 10] The Berserker leaps to the side as the tentacles launch past him, crashing into an empty table and spilling beer bottles and food baskets all over the ground, netting the furniture two puncture wounds. [5 vs. 1] The Berserker pivots and brings one of his axes down upon the Left Tentacle, hacking into the side of the flesh. The Scourge retracts its appendage, which is now dripping a bright green fluid onto the floor.

Dunkelsteinn leaps forth from the booth and draws out an illogically large greatsword. They swing the moonblade in a wide, horizontal arc,
failing to actually hit any of the Romans (or any of their teammates), but a bright white crescent of light launches from the blade. It zooms through the air creating a sound similar to a speeding car sans engine, on a trajectory towards the Veneo. [6+2 vs. 5] The beam slams into the Veneo's center of mass and propels him backwards, slamming him back into a barstool, sporting a large bleeding wound across his entire midsection.

"Time to go to work. . ." Giant Dad gulps the rest of his ale down in one half-assed gulp before standing up and whipping out his Bass Cannon, which can only be described as the bastard child between an assault rifle and a dubstep launchpad. Dad begins to Power Up the Bass Cannon, causing it to vibrate in his grasp, electronic music crescendoing from its hungry maw.

"And now an actual fight breaks out... how dreadful. Can't we settle this peacefully?" Karlston Meakin attempts peaceful negotiation with the Romans, which is a lot like attempting to convert Texans to veganism. When that fails, Karlston chucks two curled swords into the crowd, one at Bullucious Primus and the other at the first Legionnaire. [3 vs. 7] [9 vs. 6] The first coiled sword arcs over the Roman commander and goes into the bar, smashing several bottles sending their contents all over the floor. Bullucious looks over his shoulder and eyes Karlston, but his attention goes back to McFadden who is lying on the ground, his clothes now stained by a collection of destroyed drinks. The second sword travels much lower and buries itself into the Legionaire's right thigh, who now wishes that leg armor was a higher priority in the Roman army.

Tobias turns into a tiny bat, fluttering above the chaos of battle unseen as he makes his way behind the Roman lines. Once he's directly above the Veneo, he transforms back into a human and pounces on him from above. [2 vs. 4] The Barbarian dives out of the way and Tobias lands ontop of the barstool, his fall cushioned by the leather seating.

"DYNAMITE!" DOOM Guy adlibs a catchphrase as he charges in the fray like a viking on PCP, knocking over any tables and chairs in his way. Ignoring most of the Romans, he makes a beeline towards the Veneo, whipping out his roaring chainsaw. [6+2 vs. 3] The DOOM Guy lunges forward with his chainsaw, burying its teeth into the already existing wound in the side of the Veneo. With a strong grip, the soldier pulls the length of the saw across the wound, exponentially making it worse and tearing apart flesh and viscera. By the time the Veneo can react, he is watching his entrails spill onto the floor beneath him.

Rochelle takes a deep breath and then scoops up her axe from the floor. "It. Is. ON. So come on, let's beat these people's asses!" Rochelle runs through the western side of the bar, past the pool tables in a manuever to flank the Romans from the side. She cuts over and charges at the Sagitarii from his left/blind side, swinging her axe in a wide horizontal arc. [8 vs. 3] The axe smashes into the Roman with such force that it penetrates the armor like a pocket knife through a tin can; the sound of ribs breaking apart is audible and the archer falls to his knees bent over, his bow dropping to the ground next to him.

Yun floats around, additional psychic energy surging through its body with the amount of people in the room. Yun focuses on the second Legionnaire, attempting to cause his armor plates to implode. [10+1 vs. 3] Legionnaire II begins to advance on the Party, but stops when he begins to feel his armor vibrating. Suddenly, pieces of his armor break apart and stab into his body with high pressure, his own protective suit ironically altered into an improvised Iron Maiden. [4+1 vs. 5] Yun then chucks the second Legionnaire at the other, lifting him off of his feet and flinging him as a projectile. The first Legionnaire stands his ground and deflects his brethren with his shield, bouncing him away and onto a table. The second Legionnaire lies there, blood running onto the wooden surface and his body twitching, but not completely dead yet.

Fred attempts to look like a spooky summoner.

Legionnaire I bumps his companion off of his shield and then turns to face Rochelle and the wounded Sagittarii. He rushes at her as best as he can, clearly favoring his not-stabbed leg. [1 vs. 4+1] The Legionnaire thrusts his gladius at the reporter, with a move more slow and awkward than he intended. Rochelle easily dodges it to the side and responds with a cleaving blow from her fire axe. [10 vs. 5-2] The crushing attack comes down right onto the Legionnaire's right shoulder, cutting through the armor and into his flesh and muscle, causing him to drop his blade, and putting him down on a single knee.

Legionnaire II spasms and coughs up blood as he lays on the table, staring blankly at a swinging light fixture above him. [Willpower:2] Mustering all of his remaining strength, he puts places his hands down besides him and attempts to push himself up. He gets his back a few inches up before a horrendous pain shoots through his body and his backside slides back down. His eyes close and his body enters a state of permanent relaxation.

The Adstatus scans the battlefield and fixes his eyes upon the largest and most heavily armored member of the party, Giant Dad. The spearman rushes through the center of the bar and closes the space between the two of them, and when he is close enough he pulls his shield away to thrust at Giant Dad with all of his might. [9 vs. 1] Giant Dad, in his focus on charging up his bass cannon, has no time to react when the Adstatus jams a spear into the left side of his chest, penetrating his armor and a few inches into his body. When the Roman pulls the spear out, the hole he has left is gushing with giant blood.

The Sagittarii cries out in pain, his arms wrapped around his left ribcage. [Willpower: 9] For a moment, the archer is able to fight through the pain enough to put his left hand on his hip and draw out his pugio dagger. Unable to get up, he stays close to the ground as he looks towards Rochelle. [4 vs. 8+1] He jabs the knife at her legs, and Rochelle backs up out of his range, vocalizing her disdain for his dirty tactics. [6 vs. 7-2(Pain)] The reporter gives him a quick kick to the shoulder, not enough to do visible damage but enough that it sends him back down, rolling around on the floor in agony.

The Jaculator runs for the pool tables and jumps upon one of them, using the rectangular surface as a platform for his attacks. Pulling a javelin from a large quiver on his back, the Jaculator quickly decides on Dunkelsteinn as his first target. Pulling his arm back until he achieves just the right arc, the Roman chucks the spear at the dunker. [7 vs. 4+1] Dunkelsteinn feels something slam into his lower torso and looks down to find a thin spear lodged in his belly, blood spreading from the wound onto his robes.

The Berserker roars as he proceeds onto the Party's booth, cutting through entire tables just to get there. Once he's close enough, he rushes at Karlston Meakin, wildly swinging both of his axes. [1 vs. 10/Critical Failure!] Karlston leaps out of the way and the Berserker ends up putting his axes into the wall, struggling to free them from the holes they had created. While he is busy, Karlston pulls two fresh coiled swords from his pouch. [8 vs. 3-3(Critical Fail)] Karlston jams both of the swords into the soft, fleshy parts of both parts of the Berserker's backside, where the kidneys would be, lodging both blades so deep that they stay within him. The Berserker lets go of the axes in the wall and slowly turns around to face Karlston, looking quite calm given his wounds that would instantly kill a normal man. And then he roars in the face of the bard with such might that it slicks Karlston's hair back and slathers his face in globs of saliva.

The Veneo looks at his spilling guts and then at DOOM Guy, quickly transitioning from shock to rage, foaming at the mouth and wildly jabbing his spear at the soldier. [5 vs. 2] DOOM Guy matches the Veneo move for move, weaving around his spear and looking for an opportunity to counter attack. This costs him as he fails to account for a fake-out stab that looked as if it were going for his torso, when really it pokes him in the right forearm. The wound is bleeding but isn't huge, although it does begin to throb. The Veneo, with half of his vital organs now on the floor, screeches one final time before losing consciousness, and bashing his head against the edge of a table as he falls down, unmoving.

The Sacerdos is the only Roman to stand completely still, nothing in his body moving but his piercing gaze. His eyes do widen a bit when he spots Yun, "A demon, I shall deal with this." He lowers his hood and raises his hands, small flames pulsing from his palms. "Power of Vulcan, I command you to strike!" A molten fireball launches from his hands at Yun. [7 vs. 1] Yun sees the fireball coming, but does not account for its fast velocity and soon the physic creature finds itself totally engulfed in flames.

Bullucious Primus vaults over the counter of the bar onto the floor, where an alcohol soaked McFadden is still trying to get his bearings. The commander declares, "I had no quarrel with you keeper of the bar, but your insulting actions have brought this upon yourself!" [8 vs. 10-2(Stunned)] Bullucious raises his pugio with both hands and brings them down on McFadden's head. At the last moment, the bartender shifts his body to the side and the dagger impales itself into the side of the bar itself by a few inches, barely missing its target. Bullucious pulls his dagger out with a frustrated grunt giving McFadden enough time to scramble to his feet, compose himself and grab his trusty baseball bat.

When Bullucious Primus turns to face McFadden again, he sees a whirling baseball bat aimed for his noggin. [5 vs. 2+2] Bullucious pulls his head away and narrowly avoids the bat, allowing McFadden to give him a quick kick to the stomach that sends the general right into the side of the bar with an audible, "Ooof!" McFadden holds his bat like a pinch hitter, "There'll be more than that if ya' want laddie!" Primus expressionlessly reorients his body into a proper fighting stance, "I'm not going to kill you keeper of the bar, you're deserving of a much worse fate..."

Betsy launches herself at the Adstatus. [5 vs. 8] She begins furiously smacking himself in the back with her broken bottle, which would be very damaging if it wasn't for his armor absorbing the attacks. The Adstatus doesn't even bother turning towards her, and simply looks over his shoulder and reverse-thrusts the blunt end of his spear at her. Betsy takes a blow to the stomach, and while it backs her up a step, she sells the hit without sustaining damage. "I've fought drunk high school brats tougher than your sorry ass!"

There was no initiative order to this fight as I was more focused on getting it going than setting it up correctly, so there will be an initiative in the future. I'm planning initiative to be randomized at the start of every fight for each individual fighter, then that order will remain constant for the entire fight.

If there is a [D] next to an item, it means that it has been Dropped. Dropped items can be picked up by anyone nearby, and if multiple people attempt to pick up a dropped item simultaneously, there will be a strength roll between them to determine who ultimately gains it.

Real world:
Terrence, upon seeing the hand, let loose a high-pitched yelp in surprise and a small measure of panic.

"NNGEEEEEAH!!! I- yee- there's-

Terrence suddenly began laughing, perhaps to keep from screaming more. His expression spoke volumes of how his was a nervous laughter, not cheerful laughter. He continued talking, more or less at June.

"Soho-ho, that's disarming, eh haha! There's a severed hand, holding a flare gun in there. Should- should- should I, grab it, or... Wrr, you...?"

Terrence, satisfied with the fact that he had asked a halfway comprehensible question, took a moment to compose himself.

"Game" world:

Dunkelsteinn turned their head upward to look at the jaculator, the brim of their hat rising to reveal an unsettling look in their eyes. Dunkelsteinn turned and charged at the jaculator, swinging their massive sword in a wide circle to strike at him.

The Real World
Shay Waters

Shay turns to face Briefs, her face neutral.
"Briefs, right? I'm gonna go for a bit, check to see what's what 'round here. Suddenly, she looks surprised. "Wait. What's that screaming? Lemme go check that stuff out."

Shay goes to investigate the room June and Terrence are in, and help pick up anything left.

The Game
Rochelle

Rochelle glares at the legionnaire, before kicking the bow out of the Sagitarii's reach, and then finishing off the Legionnaire once and for all. "I'm a bit sorry, but this is the way things go, and so you're gonna go lose your life."

Reality

June is startled by Terrence's sudden outburst, a frightened look not usually found on her. She goes to investigate, and potentially to get him to carry some things.

Game

Yun panics at the fire, but soon regains it's composure enough to use psychokinesis to move the blood from the dead legionnaire, and douse the flames with it. Then proceed to attack surrounding enemies, with a Psychic Overload, if possible.

The "Real" World

Brief yelps quietly, shaking his hand a little bit.
"Gehh, looks like something pretty advanced. I'd probably need more time than we have to figure out a way to subvert the mechanism. Or maybe..."
He looks around the safe, seeing if there's a plug or anything like that providing power to the shock.

Game World

The Scourge, ignoring the injury, decideds instead to weaken some of the other foes. Shooting balls of acidic bile at the Adstatus and Jaculator, to try and weaken their armor severely, as well as create hazards on the ground.
