The rule for editing something twice in a row is just for the same person. This way you won:t have a single guy editing his own favorite creature 20x in succession. Editing someone else's mutation as soon as it's posted is completely fine. I'll edit the OP for clarification.

Ah, but can you edit more than one species at a time though?
Just want to make sure I won't break a rule or something.
Yes, feel free to!

Requiring the rather short terrestrial Spinowyrmae to spread its seeds, Terrestrius Fructus evolved into Terrestrius Yumctus. Being closer to the ground meant that more Soinowyrme ate its seeds, and thus natural selection lead to shorter plants.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The Mindusplumpolychos Blingus, being protected by its shell became able to feed more so it grew bigger. Over time its shell also grew over the lower belly
area of the Plump. Through this method, the plumpolychos was able to protect its tail from danger when necessary. The fin part of the front apendages also grew bigger, giving the
plump a new speed and maneuver ability. The split off species is now know as Turtectulis Blingus, or Bling Turtector Plump

Edit:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This creature evolved from Cyclopsowyrm aquavenis. It has elongated its neck to slither over the ocean floor. Slowly but steadily it slithers, feeding off of carcasses, fruit, and seed.
Its scientific name is slitherinowyrmia aquavenis.

Some Slimolychos MultiFinnus evolved flipperlike appendages that hung beneath their body instead of both top and the bottom. This subspecies was classified as Slimolychos MultiFlippus.

Any creature before this post is extinct and thus uneditable (19-12-2016)
Extinction event:

Life has blossomed in the Aurocene, the age of gold. The oceans, once blue, are now dressed in a golden shimmer. Creatures of all kinds grow, swim, crawl and slither over the glistening bottoms of the seas. Still, idyllic life like this will never sustain itself. A new catastrophe is beginning to emerge.

Carbon gasses are quickly filling the atmosphere. As a result, the planet is heating up! Creatures will need to find a way to protect themselves from the heat or use it for their own good. You, the players, have until 8:00 UTC+1, so about 8.5 hours from this post.

Autismis Nautorostro (evolved from AUtismis Longrostro) developed a long fused beak which turned into a large durable shell. It quickly developed small mouths on its tentacles so that it could still eat.

The Nautorostro Grasperus Underwent some drastic changes to better cope with the new environment, even its pigments reflects that.
A set of filtration devices goes along both sides of its underside, and it gained the ability to flip itself around as it pleases to better navigate these new waters.
Also evolved slightly more complex graspers/mouths to catch its prey with.

(I hope this wasn't too many changes.)

In response to the rising heat the old Slymolichus fractalius moved more into the earth so it would not get hit by hot water streams.
It lessened in size and its body rearranged. Its eye has split into two eyes that lay almost beneath the surface. Its scientific name is Polyplop fractalius

Due to the increased heat the Terrestrius Yumctus has lost its flower and instead clones itself via roots. It still produces a red fruit as a remnant of old times.
Its scientific name is Terrestrius Hanfus

As temperatures got hotter and hotter, Slymolichus fractalius evolved into Slymolichus duncanius. It developed a hard skeleton which incorporated gold as well as many other elements. This not only reflected the heat, but allowed it to retract its polyps in the face of danger.

Blargh. I have work, and therefore might not be able to save the poor plumpy line this round.

Turtectulis NeonBlingus Have attempted to adapt to the heating by diving into the darkest oceanic depths. Let us see if it pays off for this plump creature.
By doing this it evolved phosphoric skin in order to track each other. This however has given it pink eyes due to overexposure to each others lights.

From the Cyclopsowyrm aquavenis, the new Cyclopsowyrm subterrenae evolved. It has small shovel like tools with which it tunnels itself through the soil to protect from the heat.

The Autismo Autorostro evolved to become the Autismo Mondobabilo. It has changed the way it body works to be more streamlined, also it has grown a mouth belly where it keeps its young in times of danger.

Damn, Ultimuh did some good saving! The extinction event has ended a little later than I initially planned, but it's alright. We move into the new period of time, the Aestocene. Keep in mind all creatures of the previous periods are now extinct, and thus uneditable.

-Sniperinowyrm-

The Cyan Slitherwyrm has gained more motor skills in its neck, allowing it to move the neck in all three dimensions. This would have been impossible without evolving the shape of its chitinous plates. It has also grown two more worm-like appendages on its face. Scientifically, it is now called Slitherinowyrma caebalus

The Autismo Autorostro evolved to become the Autismo Mondobabilo. It has changed the way it body works to be more streamlined, also it has grown a mouth belly where it keeps its young in times of danger.

Over time, a branch of Autismo Mondobabilo developed nocturnal tendencies, which is shown by their darker complexion and eyes which more easily adapts to dark environments.
It now has less eyes though, but it is quality over quantity here. (Three eyes on both sides, which makes it six.)
Its beak grew shorter but stronger beaks to be able to chew through tougher kinds of chitin.
It lost its fins due to their new propellant being more effective, and this allowed larger mouth bellies (one on each side) where it can hide even more of its spawn.
The scientific name of this creature has come to be known as Autorostro Nocturis.

edit:

Due to the increased heat the Terrestrius Yumctus has lost its flower and instead clones itself via roots. It still produces a red fruit as a remnant of old times.
Its scientific name is Terrestrius Hanfus

A branch of Terrestrius Hanfus, known as the Terrestrius Hanfus Baubleis. This specimen seem to grow strange bauble-like fruit. Hence its name.

snip

The new Turtectulis legionar has developed a more intricate exoskeleton. It has lost the need for green pigment, as it can only see the light it and its friends emit. Thus, it has become paler, though it still shines brightly in the depths.
